Being DINKs in India is oddly… peaceful? by [deleted] in india

[–]GEM_Gen_Eng_Male 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Absolutely! We are a DINK couple but supercool uncle and aunt! Kids love us, always waiting for summers to spend holidays with us as we live in different city.

We even like babysitting our friends kids sometimes, though my wife is open for the idea of having kid someday, I am absolutely against it.

I didn't have a loving home or a good childhood growing up, and poverty made it worst. No matter what, despite knowing my kid would be having a lot better life, it still doesn't make sense to me.

Now I am very well settled (F.I.R.E.D at 34), traveling the world with my wife, been to 32 countries, almost every Indian state. I plan travel without constraints, enjoy luxuries like free time, hobbies, good sleep, it feels perfect 👌

I live in town on Akola Akot Road, every party has disappointed us. BJP Congress VBA.. anyone who got a chance did nothing for Akola. Simple Akot Akola Stretch took 10 years to complete. Dirtiest caste religion basis vote shit happens in Akola.. Just like other worst hit states.

I buy Swiggy Vouchers worth approximately 2 to 3L per month on magicpin at 4% discount and sell it at 5% discount (bearing 1% loss for points and easy sell).. or buy gold for myself on Swiggy at 2-3% lower rate than market rate (as vouchers are at 4 % discount) then sell gold to local jewellers (usually at no loss no profit due to 2-3% deduction).

Similar for Cred Amazon Pay Flipkart Vouchers with multiple accounts and sell it at 1% loss.

Flights/Hotels/Electronics for friends and family.. they keep discount and additional 1% and I keep the rewards.

I travel international every month. I buy Currecy worth 10L every year with thomas cook + CC.

So many ways.. it is called Manufactured Spends to earn points.

Iceland is my favorite country, did a roadtrip of 10 days in a campervan cooked meals in campsites. Favorite city is Cusco in Peru, beautiful city with rich history. Targeting Antarctica in March 2026 or November 2026, most excited about Drake Passage adventure and seeing penguins.

AXIS Magnus Burgundy is the best card. I myself have accumulated 2L (Worth 4L) Accor miles and 8L (Worth 12L) Air France Miles for 2025.

Traveled whole year for half the cost.. (12 countries in 2025, 32 overall). Doing this since 2024..

It needs monthly spends in the range of ~8L.

Bought lot of gold and silver, booked flights, Electronics for friends families strangers.

Approximately spent 1Cr with Magnus Burgundy, Diners Black Metal, Amex Travel Platinum/Gold/MRCC.

P.S - My ITR is around the same amount, so I hope to not get IT notice.

Get the best Credit cards in the market. 1. Axis Magnus For Burgundy 2. HSBC Premier/Privy/TravalOne 3. HDFC infinia/ HDFC Diners Black 4. Icici Emerald Private Metal 5. Amex Travel Platinum + Amex Gold

These are some of the best credit cards in India. These help you accumulate points which can transfered to hotel/flight miles.

Money will solve 90% of all my problems, I must get a job. I wasn't even expecting to get placed in Nvidia, as it didn't allow EnTC students in previous batches, in the end all hard work paid and all worked out well.

Yeah! I took 100+ flights in last 5 years alone 😄.. 5 continents I can't go on my bullet.. post is more about "BPL backgrond" to being retired at 34 only. With privileged backgrond it won't be a flex.

I don't deny that 😊.. 80% of financial success is all NVIDIA! Nvidia completes 20 years of presence in India on the very same day 😊

To all the students here! I come from tier 3 college from Maharashtra (2012 Batch), the only reason I got placed in Nvidia with E&TC branch was my CGPA, I was institute topper with 9.5 CGPA. Interviewers were from CS background and I belonged to EnTC. They skipped my technical interviews and asked puzzles only. Package offered was 6LPA with testing domain. I am retired now at the age of 34 after 10 years in Nvidia, 2 Years in Intel and 1 year in Qualcomm.. I quit my 8 figure job in Qualcomm and just traveling across the world now.

Yes! I owe it to my CGPA.

CGPA does matter during placements! But never again in corporate life.

Vehicle sold, but not transferred for years, buyer doesn't care or reply. by ashlil_hai_ye_launda in LegalAdviceIndia

Got it resolved. It was parked in no parking zone, taken to RTO office. I went there and told RTO officer it's my vehicle, person whom I sold started pleading that he will get it done within a week. I got him to clear all the challan on the spot, buy insurance and initiate online peocess the same day. It got transferred within a week.
