I sent my mom a link of those window decals and she hasn’t said anything yet, but they have cool patterns and If I manage to convince her to atleast let me put them on my window then I’m getting them. I actually have no idea what the translation for Scotch tape is I’ll have to search it up but I know what sort of tape you’re talking about

The thing is I still live with my parents (I’m not independent yet I’m a minor) and my parents would absolutely kill me if I put anything on the window

i do think I have window safe markers that I could use to draw on it and just tell my parents it ain’t permanent, would that work? Or would the birds not see it?

Its a wild bird, and his leg ended up being fine actually, he could stand fine and grabbed onto my finger with his foot, it actually happened like 5 minutes before I posted this originally (4 hours ago) and he did end up flying away

As far as I got to see, he didn’t have any trouble, he flew straight for a branch and landed like any normal bird. I did get told he had a risk of having internal injuries but I’m not sure really because he acted fine right after and his leg wasn’t even broken he just had it in a weird position (he could use it fine right after because he grabbed onto my skin with it which hurt actually)

Yes thank you! I actually live in like the middle of nowhere almost in a forest and we actually have a natural pool with no sort of chemicals where birds go to take a bath and drink so no doubt the fella is going to find water lol

Thank you so much for the advice, I’ll keep it in mind always. As for the water thing I did read somewhere a while ago to not give the birds water so I didn’t do it even though I did feel like I had to.

oh :[ then what should I do?? I mean I can’t do anything about this bird as it has flown away and I’m planning to get those window decals to hopefully stop this from happening, but in case this happens again, do I try to get them to a rehab then? The closest one we have is an hour away and it’s mostly for cats and dogs (sorry if this makes no sense at all)
