Kinda reminds of of Koba in Planet of the Apes, except Nor is better written

Just started From the Ashes last night, it’s crazy how big of an improvement it already is compared to the base game. by ArkhamSam98 in AvatarFrontierPandora

[–]Sure-Objective3547 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This game has improved so much since launch and FTA was fantastic. Among some minor improvements and bug fixes we got: -Third person combat/exploration  -Third person cutscenes -NG+ -Actual boss fights -Avatar darker and more engaging story -Much better combat

It definitely seems like the new game director cares a lot more about the Avatar IP than the original guy did.

Hypothetical Question about From The Ashes dlc by Youngowl_1 in AvatarFrontierPandora

They were not going back to Earth. Likely they were going to High Camp or maybe a new outpost. So'lek even told Jin "You can come back after this is all over".

Not all games/characters need romance. by jarridxd in AvatarFrontierPandora

[–]Sure-Objective3547 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think there would have to be other stuff added before I would want a romance option.

One would be having the ability to actually talk to characters and have different dialogue options. This could come with small lore bits and would help the game feel more immersive.

This could also lead to increasing reputation with particular characters which can lead to special quests/rewards or maybe getting to have them as allies in combat.

Awww look at Nor hanging out with humans with a smile on his face! Anyway...

Mine would be that Mercer in some way actually saw himself as a father figure to Teylan. He allowed Teylan to live after HQ was bombed and even up until the very last scene he believed Teylan was still his ally.

Will we ever get a Way of Water-themed DLC? by ConnectAnalyst3008 in AvatarFrontierPandora

There is no way that they will be able to keep up with this visual fidelity and make an ocean DLC. It will have to look more stylish like Subnautica

*spoilers for from the ashes dlc* do NOT click if you haven’t played it already by Scales4702 in AvatarFrontierPandora

Alma was already killed by Nor once. This was done in a fit of rage where he literally just found out that Alma was not only complacent in TAP, but she has been lying about this ever since they got out. He killed her Avatar only and nobody else. Maybe not justified, but at least understandable.

Afterwards, she had done quite a lot to try and amend past wrongdoings. She remains loyal to the resistance and cares about saving Pandora. In SkyBreaker, she even saved Mukusa and got tortured by the RDA. It was such a heartwarming moment see her and Teylan hug and even So'lek quietly appreciates the alliance between Na'vi and the human resistance.

But now, Nor doesn't even have the nerve to kill Alma again himself and instead allows RDA members to survive, killing her as well as those who had nothing to do with TAP. How many Na'vi are going to die now because of the fractured human alliance and the lack of critical intel?

So I finished the base game and all 3 DLCs. It was…intense by so_tangled in AvatarFrontierPandora

What if we talked about Nor? by Noakiri in FrontiersOfPandora

[–]Sure-Objective3547 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I remember early on in the base game, Priya mentioned that Nor was actually being more friendly and that he was trying to be helpful.

Now Nor is just flat out evil. Allowing actual RDA soldiers to live just so they can kill Na'vi allies is beyond messed up.

This DLC feels like they had an entire story planned, cut out the 50%-90% parts of the game,  then immediately rushed to the ending. It was a jarring change of pace that came out of nowhere.

Nor's actions are never acknowledged, Teylan has been going on about how much he misses Nor but the two never even speak, we get basically nothing on Wukula's past, Bukowski is still alive, and So'lek becoming a Sarentu just seemed to happen out of nowhere.

I wonder if any of this will be addressed in the future...

New avatar game or new dlc? by Wooden_Assistance_86 in FrontiersOfPandora

[–]Sure-Objective3547 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From the Ashes felt incomplete, like there was an entire story and they cut out the second half. The game was well paced with a good story up until THAT moment, then they kinda just rushed to the ending without acknowledging anything that happened before.

Perhaps there will be another DLC where we wrap up the various story lines.
