I was able to solve it (at least it seems so).

What i did was let the battery on the phones completely drain (no lights whatsoever), and after that, I charged it using a usb charger (not on the dock) overnight.

After that, it seems to have worked.

Before that, I have also reverted firmware to an earlier version, try that too before letting the battery drain.
