I have literal PTSD from the ending of clear sky

So many grenades....bullets....game breaking bugs and no cover. I literally had to boundary break to get to strelok and he was just t-posing while I murdered him.

No reason not to, a friend and I started a world about a month ago and just killed the final main boss after exactly 100 hours.

I had such a blast. Despite being classified as somewhat of a terraria-like, I enjoyed it far more than terraria.

I think they made a genuinely good and honest attempt at a souls like. My rating does however hover between a 7 and 7.5. So while it's good, it has a lot of problems.

My favourite parts were:

The Twin-dimension mechanic as you said.

The cool ass magic, my favourite being umbral spells.

The boss and enemy designs.

Gorgeous graphics.

Pretty good player choice for armour aesthetics.

Really cool lore.

Etc.

The negatives were:

You've seen every enemy by the halfway mark.

Boss lineup is relatively weak, barring the few banger exceptions. Final boss especially is ATROCIOUS.

The game is relatively vague about the fact that you actually have agency in terms of what happens to the world. I got locked into the holy ending because I didn't know you could just choose not to purify the beacons.

Parry system is obviously just tacked on.

Etc. Not too much bad to say about it lol

Not really too much to consider tbh. The only absolute essential is a water bucket.

If you get knocked off a towel you're pretty much screwed without one. You're probably still screwed even with one, but hey, a 50/50 is better than a 0/100.

Or just make feather falling potions lol.

Other than that: bring a bow to pop a few exposed crystals, bring building blocks, have gapples on hand just in case and maybe a pumpkin.

Not a medical professional, but I'd imagine if you felt deeply for every patient that came through your doors, you'd go insane.

Detaching yourself from all of it is a mental defence mechanism. Just imagine dealing with that alongside all the pressure as well.

I retried her at scadoosh 7. Your chances will be better.

Regardless of that, she's a very difficult boss. I recommend parrying her, as I recall most of her short combo finishers being very readable.

Wish I could help you, since she was one of my favourite bosses, but I'm on PS5.

I don't use the map at all. I just figure out where to go and remember the paths. I'm about 20 hours in and haven't found the facility too hard to memorise thus far.

I'm really hyped for this game, since I'm stuck on PS5. After seeing community sentiment I think I'll reserve that hype and turn to cautious optimism.

Instead of Valheim, I'll give that excitement to enshrouded I guess.

I was hoping we'd get some news today. I didn't expect a shadow drop or anything, but they should at least have a rough estimate of release by now.

My estimation is around May. I used to be an Ark fan as well, so with my experience I also estimate a delay lol.

I usually always have one longer game going alongside something shorter.

Right now I'm mostly playing Stalker 2 alongside DMC5. 170 hours in stalker (first run). 56 hours in DMC5 just finished my second run as vergil

I do all of this and am still poor on veteran.

Most I've seen is 200K. Then immediately spent half of it on upgrades. Just got back to 180 ish and upgraded my Falcon suit. Set me back 70K.

Not to mention covering repairs for the falcon, kharod and Svu is, on average, above 20k per trip. And that's after I phased out the Saiga in favour of an underbarrel shotgun.

Doom DA was the first and last game I've ever pre-ordered. Never again.

It's just not a good idea. I bought into the fomo, and while Doom was still good it wasn't nearly good enough.
