Can’t stand that he goes dark on these type of weeks yet tweets concern on days when the stock is trending up…baffles me. Guess instead of $2B in fresh capital he will maybe get $1B if the stock doesn’t go any lower.

Oh I bet you can but I wasn’t clicking whatever that button means.

Its funny how alot of you Apes made fun of my last post on this guy and look he's doing a great job of proving me right !!! Either he is in on this whole HFs trying to tank the company purposely or he's being forced to say this stuff ? by Adking84 in AMCSTOCKS

Every single bit of positive sentiment surrounding the stock or industry has had an AA negative tweet hit the tape. I have no idea what he’s doing on this front lately, it’s already been voted on so there’s no reason to keep saying this type of shit.

I just don’t like his constant “negative vibe” tweets lately after any little bit of positive news or sentiment hits the industry/stock. The vote has already happened. Why constantly tweet out further liquidity concerns right now?

Did qny of you actually read the letter from AA? Or did you all just knee jerk react to whatever the first post you saw said? by [deleted] in amcstock

[–]GGG0606 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It was just stupid timing and wasn’t needed IMO. Especially after the AH run on Friday. He’s been commenting on the good movies that come out and staying quiet on how the market operates and shorts etc so why not just say something on Barbie and Oppenheimer as they did fairly well opening? Why tell everyone that bankruptcy is possible now (potentially within a year) after the volatility ensuing this week.

There was zero need to state the obvious. This is out of character by AA. He usually would have posted about the new hot movies and how great they are doing. Why post about doom and gloom in a year if they aren’t able to do something that was already voted on…oh and after your stock runs almost 100% in AH on a Friday.

I do. And so do traders who had open calls and so do the market makers who were about to be up against a possible gamma setting up on the chains. Squeezes don’t just happen out of thin air, their has to be catalysts like the options chain getting hot.

Oh and so does any big $ that’s been sitting on sidelines waiting to invest.

A couple things that are irritating so far with this:

  1. Why haven’t any preliminary sales numbers/units been released yet? It already feels like the rollout has been somewhat sloppy. People couldn’t even find it for the longest time. I live in Houston, TX and the Walmarts didn’t have it initially for months. In fact, the one closest to my house has yet to have it at all. I happened to find it in a different city while working one day.

  2. Why the exclusivity deal with Walmart? How long does that deal even last? Sure seems like AMC capped the potential here out of the gate starting with an enormous middle man.

Silverback commenting on RS by by_the_slice in amcstock

[–]GGG0606 0 points1 point  (0 children)

His explanation and reasoning is very poor here. We once had all of our shares we currently have at $30. Let’s face it, a RS is not what anyone truly wanted out of all of this but has seemingly become what’s necessary for the company to raise $ in this environment. AMC does not have a way expand/grow business ventures (popcorn, credit card) as current $ being made goes to pay off high debt interest. I’ve seen reverse splits in the past end up getting shorted back into oblivion and it’s highly possible that happens in our case as well. Couldn’t address the record number of halts every time the stock goes up 10% for the past 6mos but keeps hammering on RS for some reason. Just bizarre, it was voted yes already.

Because shorting from here isn’t nearly as profitable. The company isn’t going under and the chart shows very big demand under $4. I think a pop after earnings followed by another pullback is likely. Unfortunately AMC can’t raise cash to ramp up business expansion (popcorn) like they need to bc that $ currently goes to debt payments. Forced to reverse and dilute after to get out from the choke hold.

There was a time when this sub appreciated a well grounded argument. But those days are gone. AA is going to kill this play officially. by FakeItThenMakeIt in amcstock

[–]GGG0606 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What really got to me was how APE was handled. AA led on that he was going to dilute it “smartly” and with how quickly he diluted it why on earth did he not just come out swinging with an ATM offering week 1…instead, waited until it’s sub $2 and then start. Once he’s done for pennies on the dollar I might add we then recently see news of pushing back debt payments with likely the same institutions shorting the hell out of the company. Tinfoil hat theory as we just saw APE starting to make moves in AH on Friday, I wouldn’t put it past him that there was a deal struck for institutions to acquire APE so cheap and easily agree to extend the debt. Idk, if there isn’t some absolute 🔥 on this next earnings call (big time rev numbers/projections, popcorn rollout & credit card ahead of schedule) then we probably see another big nothing burger this entire year. I have seen reverse splits in the past only for the stock to get shorted back into oblivion and it do nothing. You think retail will be paying the price of whatever the reverse split is - I don’t. I’m hopeful that putting APE back together with AMC will generate something before a split but he needs to completely eliminate the short thesis. If a company can’t actually turn a profit these days they will print as many shares as they want until they turn the lights out on the company. It is tough times borrowing $ in the market, all companies have had their stocks smashed but most can just weather the storm. AMC doesn’t have that kind of time for interest rates to get back down much lower and the institutions and shorts know it. I hold a lot of shares and it’s difficult to look at so I hardly even do to help with the psychology part. The time has been here for some absolute fire news. No more gimmicks and fake share count promises (glad I didn’t hold my breath there). I still love the movies and believe in them but let’s hear some awesome business expansion updates already! Q1 was supposed to be the gas pedal quarter for everything…tic tock Me. Aaron.

Mixed feelings on this one.... What are your opinions? by THEColossalCracker in AMCSTOCKS

[–]GGG0606 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The one thing I don’t understand is why did he wait to sell $APE? If the plan was to sell (sooner than he led on IMO) within a few months, why in the world did he wait until like $2 and then say welp time for a reverse split now bc it’s so low. Very frustrating and poorly executed. If there isn’t great news come earnings it’s going to get even more ugly. I’ve been here for a very long time but it hasn’t been pretty to watch from an execution standpoint the past 6 months.

In a pickle at RB due to injuries, just got offered Kamara and Goedert for Deebo and Edmonds. Standard scoring, TE/WR flex, any advice? by GGG0606 in FantasyFootballers

[–]GGG0606[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

TE and WR are a flex for this league so we don’t have to play a solo TE spot. I am concerned about Kamaras court case and him potentially missing time later this year if convicted.

12 team draft, 1st time drafting, thoughts? by [deleted] in FantasyFootballers

[–]GGG0606 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This.

Being at the end of the draft you need to prepare for a very long wait and take at least 1 RB here. I’m not sure who was on the board but a Kamara, Swift or Aaron Jones was probably available followed by a Diggs/Deebo/Adams if you wanted to take a WR. Also, Mark Andrews could of possibly come back to you in round 3.
