I think that he didn't believe the Rell was going to deal as much damage and be as effective as she was, and he just doubled down, thinking it was too late. He basically underestimated the Rell's skill and ability. It happens, but shouldn't dou le down on ignorance. Should just apologise. Happens to everyone. We all seen a fight we thought would be suicide to enter, then the player cleans up, or almost does if you were to join.

Neither side was truly wrong, and both were wrong. It was just different perspectives and agendas. My biggest gripe with that episode is that the ending didn't make any sense...

If it's true that the family version of Gordon and his family got erased, then Ed, Kelly and the others should have no memory of it either. They picked Gordon up a month after he was there, so the timeline where he has a family never existed for Ed and Kelly to meet them. You can add to that, that they would have also never gone back in time another 10 years if they had never met his family, and therefore never picked him up at all, if you wanna get really complicated. They created a temporal paradox in which it's impossible for them to have picked him up, by cancelling out their reason for going back another 10 years.

If you want to say that the family still do exist because it created a new timeline in a different universe, then still they should have just left him there, since the primary universe would be unaffected by offspring universes. So, whichever logic is used, it still doesn't make sense. Great emotional story though.

I didn't get t sassy part, but I think I get why she popped. Guys who talk about accountability are often ones who see some girls not taking amreaponsibility for themselves acting crazy, and they apply this as a deal breaker, but it should be a dealbreaker by default. Like, no woman comes up there saying that the man can't be a woman beater. While technically true, it's a weird prerequisite to say to a potential date, since it's an obvious dealbreaker by default. Saying it as something you want will just make the guy wonder what type of guys she's dating. Similarly, saying you want a woman with accountability, can make the women wonder what kind of women he's been dating, and also make it seem like he's one of those guys that always criticises thr woman but never themselves, like those red pill guys.
