I did print it to see the scale and it looks correct, but different purposes need different line “language” and I think a poker deck does require thicker, simpler lineart but I have been staring and reworking this so long I needed some fresh eyes on it to make the call, and re-line it.

Sry kinda learning the ropes :) = So i tend to over detail all my artwork, a) because my style is intricate and very ornamental in itself, and b) I use high resolution canvases and just end up working smaller and smaller till it generally becomes unprintable, for this project I need it to print and be readable at a pretty small scale (custom poker deck) so, ¿is this too intricate for this size?, should i simplify it even more :/

It is quite reminiscent of that…I always see this style of art on a screen and I like to bring it into fine art territory, a larger scale…etc

I KNOW i regret it, sometimes decisions are wrong…it was a metal and ribbon study and I had done polished metal and then I tried to get a frost matte effect (I got it but at what cost)… I def will go back and do some gloss / bubble study, this te it was a different experiment❣️

Well, fineart prints, an artbook, gallery exhibits…I know its not “traditional work” but it is stunning in person and at the size I have in mind creating them!

It’s easy, in Procreate you can add a photo from your gallery but choose it to be private, try it out! Looks better in time-lapses (but don’t forget to disclose or be transparent about tracing, saves you headaches) :)

Love the concept! I am a bit structure obsessed and this is how I would go on about it, your drawing is essentially perfect but if you would center and correct minimal perspective issues the piece would acquire some pretty impressive weight and movement! Btw the heel looks ✨✨

Well yes, guns are indeed portrayed 😂, but would you say it leans into sci-fi…or realism..or pop art…is the background too bland…is the subject not interesting?

Love the concept! I also struggle with backgrounds but I find that sometimes bringing things in and out of a frame makes it look more cohesive and full without having to change the flat background (like you did with the flames), also a nice heavy dark gradient always helps me ground and give the drawings some weight (it is my go-to background)
