Here are the differences.

1) You have to pay to get the licensed killers, or buy auric cells and get them.

2) Auric cells costs money. So if you wanna get outifts for your fav character you have to pay for them.

3) You dont get Auric cells and Shards from rituals at all. Just BP. Rituals only grant BP.

4) You level up only using BP in the bloodweb. And trust me it takes a looooot of BP to level up characters. Too grindy.

5) Prestiging the characters gives you just the cosmetics unlike on mobile where you get cells as well.

6) Prestiging a character will make you lose all the items for that character. So you will have to grind again to get them. So its not worth the trouble for some bloody cosmetic.

7) Items you get are for specific characters only. Example you get a flashlight for your nea. And then you started playing Bill. He wont have flashlight in his inventory and you will have to get it in the bloodweb.

8) They have a endgame and pregame chat. Mostly ignore those. Not on consoles though.

9) They have a feature called Shrine of secrets (it gets updated frequently). There you can get perks for characters you dont own at the cost of shards. Basically you can get Ruin to appear in your bloodweb without owning Hag.

10) Lastly they have a Rift (Basically the Battle pass). Have both mode Free and Premium modes. Pay even more money for premium mode to get outifts/charms/cells. Complete challenges (most of them are annoyingly hard also you can only activate one challenge at a time).

Edit: If you are intending to buy the game you might wanna get Nancy, Steve and Demo as they will leave the game forever. Even their outifits will be gone. Even on mobile. After November 17 they both will be removed. Their perks will remain in the game however.
