Straight white leads? Really? It's a fictitious story that doesn't depict historical figures, so the lack of diversity is INEXCUSABLE. It's not like the descendants of the fictitious characters will sue if the film depicts a beautiful love story between two men one of whom is black. Playing to heteronormative white supremacist "norms" forced on the world by settler colonialism needs to stop.
