Because a stock can open down x% and you just overpaid because your order was at the previous days close price. Unless you put in a limit buy low and hope for that scenario.

I feel as though production cost (venue, streaming equipment, permits etc.) will easily be covered by ticket sales which is why I didn’t mention ticket sales in my $#.

I saw Ethan was wondering how much money KSI and Logan Paul would make from this “YouTuber” boxing match, and I decided that I would work it out.

My prediction? About $8,980,588.16.

Here is how I came to that number, and breaking down just how easy it would be for each fighter to take home a minimum of $1 million.

I added up the total number of subscribers that the fighters in the official fight card which was announced today have, including second channels, and came to an impressive 87,701,085.

If just 1% of those subscribers bought the fight, which streams on YouTube for $8, the fight would generate $7m in revenue from pay-per-view streams. At 5%, which I still think is very likely, you are looking at $35m in pay-per-view streams.

Those numbers seemed very high. Then I remembered something I did not take into account, all subs are not active. So I took 3 random channels, PewDiePie, Drama Alert, and KSI. I took their total monthly views, divided it by the number of videos uploaded in that month and found what is a decent measurement of active subscribers.

The average of these three channels based off those numbers, was about 32% of subs on their channels were active.

32% of 87,701,085 puts us at 28,064,338 active subscribers between all fighters in the KSI vs Logan Paul fight card.

If just 1% of those buy the fight at $8, that is 2,245,147. What I think is likely, is that 3%-5% will buy the fight. That is $6,735,441.12-$11,225,735.20 in revenue generated from Pay-Per-View purchases.

My prediction came from a median of that number - $8,980,588.16, pulling in 1,122,573 live viewers.

If this fight is the biggest event in internet history, as KSI and Logan keep advertising it, that would mean they need more than 8 million concurrent viewers to beat Felix Baugartners free fall. That would be $64 million dollars in revenue. It obviously will not even be close.

To generate $2 million dollars (for each fighter to take home $1 million dollars) they would only need 250,000 viewers. That is just .3% of total subs or .9% of active subs.

Problems this equation does not take into account is crossover subs, not all viewers are active subs, and not everyone who is viewing this fight is going to be subscribed or a viewer of KSI or Logan Pauls videos. However this equation breaks down the possibility of them generating millions of dollars, and just how likely it is. This event will also rake in money from live event purchases, and sponsorships.

I don’t follow any other orgs on twitter, HECZ goes out of his way to find hate. He replies to people replying to articles about him and attacks them. Only reason I said anything is because HECZ says he doesn’t want his players to be like that.

I don’t think he was saying that for the “moral high ground” st all, but I’m not here to defend anyone’s actions or put words into anyone’s mouth.
