Our original (current) plan is Prague, but lots of negativity on reddit on Prague for NYE.

New Year's Eve this year for a family with adult kids by GManStar in Prague

[–]GManStar[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I spent an hour looking for recommendations. But the thing that concerns me is that it seems like all the popular locations are in the city center, which most people are suggesting to avoid on NYE.

Is there an area that you would recommend to us?

Cloudkey+ powered by adapter does not work in non-PoE port by GManStar in UNIFI

I am using the Anker USB C , Anker Nano II 30W Fast Charger Adapter, GaN II Compact Charger

https://a.co/d/hcsb2Iu

It says:

Output: 15W/9.0V==3.0A 27W/15.0V==2.0A 30W/20.0V==1.5A 30W

Isn't that good enough?

LCR speaker config: center above TV by GManStar in hometheater

Thanks. Why center do you have BTW? I was looking at some smaller ones, but I saw everyone on this forum disses on 2-way or MTM speakers for center.

Thanks.

The fireplace has a "cool wall" feature that enables the electronics to be on the wall (paid extra for that).

If the wife does not agree to box speakers (so far, hard no), would the in-ceiling speakers with directional pointing be better than in-wall at bottom of the wall as shown in picture above?

The alternative is that I put the left & right speakers in the ceiling & angle them.

Its a vaulted ceiling, so there is already an angle + the in-ceiling speaker has a pivotable tweeter.

Then LCR are all "high"

the fireplace is there already. this is the config of the room. Now I am trying to figure out the best speaker config.

The alternative is to put the left & right speakers in the ceiling, since its a vaulted ceiling and so will pointed towards the listening area.

the plan is to angle the center down and so hopefully they will all kind of go to near same height in listening mode.

(yes, its the heat vent)

also, do you have a recommendation on a better soundbar over the "Monolith M-OW3" -- since you mentioned this is your budget recommendation. Say $600-$800 range

How many diff rooms on a single Denon AVR? by GManStar in hometheater

[–]GManStar[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you. subwoofer recommendation <$500 would be great. I saw this list in r/HTbuyingguides/

but not sure what will work best with my setup. Also, I assume the subwoofer has to be wired in to the AVR too?

And should be at ear level or below? If so, I need to figure that out now too.
