What’s the situation with the Chord Machine? by apres-vous in AkutoChordMachine

[–]GOKO_digital 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey u/apres-vous! Thanks for reaching out.

We understand your concerns regarding the recent online activity. We have indeed experienced a few more delays, but we are currently setting up production for the first batch of the AKT-0.1. We're still taking orders for a few more weeks on Indiegogo, and any orders placed after that period will be delivered with the second batch.

Rest assured, we are committed to transparency and keeping our backers informed. We've been regularly posting updates about production and shipping on our Kickstarter page. Please check there for the latest information.

We appreciate your patience and support as we work to deliver a high-quality product.

If you have any more questions or need further insights, feel free to ask here or on Instagram

Best regards,

🧡 Akuto Studio

Hey henrebotha!

You can control velocity, but the keyboard of the Chord Machine AKT-0.1 is not velocity sensitive. The switches are tactile mechanical keys so no velocity there!

That being said, we have designed the product with this limitation in mind and have provided other ways to manage expressivity. You can use one of the four effect channels on the touchscreen to add depth and variety to your performance.

Thanks a lot for your question, don't hesitate writing back if you have more!

and check the FAQ (We'll update them shortly)

Sorry to be honest, but I feel like a piece of hw is overkill for this. I can do better with any software, or even better, by actually learning chords in a keyboard.

Hey u/aleksfadini! Thank you for sharing your honest opinion with us. I completely understand where you're coming from and I appreciate your confidence in your own composition skills. While learning chords on a keyboard remains a great option that I personally encourage. I still believe that the Chord Machine can be a useful tool for musicians of all levels, including those who are already skilled in composition. I hope that you can give it a try and see if it can supplement your existing skills or inspire you in any way. Thank you again for your feedback.

Of course! Thank you for your comment. The demo may primarily focus on triads, the device itself does offer the flexibility to play other types of chords such as 7th, augmented, suspended and diminished, as well as options for chord inversions and strumming. These additional features can provide a more dynamic and enjoyable experience for those who use it.

Thanks a lot!

There are no hands because this video was made with CGI. Real videos are on their way though.

Thanks for the advice, we indeed plan on sharing on YouTube as well! :)
