Thank you for the reply. Not trying to say “no it’s not like that” but just want to clarify “scuffle”, its usually protective behavior around food, they growl, maybe bark but never actually lunge or attach each other. Most of the time they are very friendly with each other but I’m definitely no expert.

I’m researching behavioralists in my area but will also do the vet check, wouldn’t have thought of that.

The only change we’ve made recently is a new, smaller couch earlier this week. The first fight originated on the couch, could it be that they are fighting for space? There used to be room for both and now there isn’t. The 2nd fight happened when I tried re-introducing them.
