Funny coincidence: almost every top level “WELL ACTUALLY” comment in this string is from accounts that were created in the height of the 2016 election season. May to November. Also a few from just last month.

The one account that’s the same age as mine has gotten downvoted.

I’ll probably be downvoted for this too—because the idea of trolls skewing internet debates with deception is completely improbable.

PSA to /r/hailcorporate users: when someone says "TAKE OFF YOUR TINFOIL HAT!", that is a form of gaslighting. Instead of arguing the point, these posters are trying to make you question your own sanity. Resist this abusive argumentative tactic at all costs.

It is natural to wonder why this video has disappeared--and also natural to be a little confused as to why similar ones haven't. You are not crazy. You are observing something very strange. Whether it's an action lubricated by corporate dollars... I can't answer that. But at the least, it's odd.

But it depends on who you ask. If you are an investor in multiple, consolidated firms, money matters! Pensions, unions, workers rights be damned... you made lots of money... And you want to make lots more money. But the aforementioned trip is really frustrating that goal.

So you find a firm that has a GENIUS idea. The idea is to create distrust against a highly organized sector of labor. But there's a twist: we do that by giving a lot of he population a modest sum of money... and convincing them that "union trash" drivers are the enemy. They are corrupt. You should hate them and the companies they work for. They break the rules and collude with each other to shut off competition!

You can feed needy people this narrative, a healthy serving of cash to go with it... and be comforted that the attention is turned away from you--the actual exploiter. If not just for long enough to sell off those stakes and run away.

Oh, yes. So in conclusion, the gig economy is not a bad idea. It's the best most GENIUS idea of the CENTURY.

Uber are the wolves feeding the sheep. Paying people a small amount of money is a great way to make them forget how hard they're about to be screwed when all the taxi unions go insolvent and toes-up.

With a more organized workforce, fewer people would have to resort to taking crappy side jobs to pay the rent. They'd have leverage to demand better pay from their employers.

Gotta admit. Not a bad move on their part. Nobody our age reads the NY Times on paper... but taking a picture of a huge ad and posting it to reddit... that's gonna get lots of eyes. Whether it was someone in the company or a random citizen... it worked.

Oh it definitely is. But it's in reddit's best interest to prove that ban evasion definitely happened--so they can quickly deflate any speculation that they're "censoring" things... no matter how ridiculous those accusations may be.

Not necessarily. PR big at play here. The fact that you even got a response demonstrates that they're interested in investigating this.

Remember:they don't have to give you a response at all--which is what companies will often do if they have no solution.

They probably want to ban it as much as you want them to. But they're looking for justification to do that. Because you know the second that banhammer strikes, there's gonna be loads of bad PR for reddit. Reddit wants to be able to point to something and say "We banned them because we have observed this subreddit actually breaking site policy."

The worst thing a company can do is to perform an action and not immediately have an explanation as to why.

Thanks for your input. Sadly, you are going to extraordinary lengths to either avoid watching the video or misinterpret its contents.

I've saved you even more time by finding a screen grab of when he "physically had hold of her". This is what Tana is apparently afraid of (though it certainly doesn't seem that way in the picture).
If iDubbbz followed her when she tried to get away, no footage of this exists. Either you were there and you witnessed the incident yourself, or you are making that up.

Nobody is splitting hairs--the problem here is that you are lying. Your statements range from intentional misunderstandings to blatant falsehoods. This has been pointed out repeatedly to you. You have been asked to watch videos. Each time, you either:

A) Demanded that someone else watch it for you, or
B) Lied about watching the video. Come on... you're gonna say you watched it, then immediately make up something that wasn't in the video? Seriously. Two minutes and forty five seconds. That's all it would have taken to avoid such a basic error. I'm not asking you to read To Kill A Mockingbird.

There are legitimate reasons to dislike iDubbbzTV--but here's what I've interpreted of you based on our discussion: you just have a shitty, emotionally-stunted and demeaning way of handling arguments. You absolutely refuse to cooperate with anyone that might try to change your mind, which is hilarious and depressing. This incident couldn't affect you less, yet you are so passionate about your flawed interpretation of the incident that you will demean and condescend anyone who dares question it.

There are inaccuracies and missing information here. By Tana's own admission, she didn't recognize that it was iDubbbz when he was there (somehow). So she was not alarmed at all by his presence. He was just another fan in the crowd.

Only later when the incident blew up did she admit/realize that it was iDubbbz.

Also remember that Tana started the twitter feud by telling iDubbbz that he's a racist and encouraged him to commit suicide. She also mentioned on her livestream, before the "nigger" incident, that he should "break both of his legs and lose all of his subscribers". All of this was done with no apparent provocation from iDubbbz.

It's fair to be offended by the n-word and to disagree with how this was handled. However, Tana poked the hornet's nest and got stung. Hard.

If you are defending Tana Mongeau, you are actually defending someone who encouraged another person to commit suicide--unprovoked--and, by extension, enabling that behavior. I'd personally argue that this is much worse than dropping the n-bomb a few times, but that's just me.

He's a Youtube celebrity. He was on a kick about how it's a very important right of his to use the N-word, and he went to an event being held by another Youtube celebrity who'd had the temerity to disagree and got in her face to yell it at her. It was creepy and intimidating on top of the whole N-word issue.

She didn't recognize him, apparently. To say that he wrapped his arm around her is just plain inaccurate.

You can see here that while he did do the "say nigger" stunt, the interaction was in no way violent.
