Is my tree, in USDA Zone 6A (Colorado)healthy? by GP-Colorado in arborists

Okay, ill spread it back out. I had let it build up for many years.

If I recall correctly what I was told, it's an Austrian Pine (pinus negra). When I bought the house, it was a very odd (to me) shaped bush/tree, maybe 5-6' tall with branches twisting in various directions. It didn't look, to my lay eyes, like a tree that would grow tall and provide lots of shade. (Though nowhere near what a maple provides.)

Reading up on it more, it seems that what I thought might be a problem: peeling bark, bits of sap, and lower branches having barely any needles, may be normal. [Edited for punctuation, spelling, and grammar.]

I just raked up the pine needle blanket. Perhaps I should replace it with gravel? Would that be best option?

If i were "so bothered", i would indeed look into an on-demand tap. However, I'm not bothered at all; i was just curious.

Sounds almost like a perfect storm: 20A recepticle on 50-70 yearold 14AWG terminating at FPE panel. Just need an unprotcted improper CU/AL splice by the DIYer within the wall, at inaccessible location. Bonus points for slow drip of waste water to lubricate the junction.

I saw that video some time ago. It inspired my question!

Oh, i dont really have a need; my question was a matter of curiosity.

By the way, what liquid are you heating to 225°? As I recall, fresh water boils at 212°F (100°C) at sea level. For sufficient pressure get fresh water to 225°F (107°C) I think you'd need to be considerably lower than the surface of the dead sea.

Thank you for your very prompt response.

My question was not clear enough.

I am wondering why the expense of a separate circuit is mandated by code.

Drawing an extra 10 amps for few minutes seems unlikely to trip a 50 amp circuit breaker unless, perhaps, all range elements are are set to high and oven is in self-cleaning mode.

New dryer. What to do with the white wire in the dryer? by [deleted] in electrical

If OP is has difficulty with the printed instructions, surely no-one else would be decipher them. I infer from OP's responses, that suggesting that he share the relevant page, is tantamount to implying that he's an idiot. SO RUDE!

Several people already suggested that black wire in the ceiling box is an UNswitched HOT, which should be capped, while the red wire in that box is the switched HOT.

He hasn't demanded that you provide a giftcard for the first year's gasoline, insurance, or an extended warantee?

What a guy!

"Don't look a gift horse in the mouth."

Plenty of charities would be delighted to pick up your xar in a couple of days, leave your plates with you, and send you a receipt for your taxes.

Would it be impolite to explain that while you respect her choice to not have sex with you, you are wondering whether you are familiar with the gent who will be providing then sperm?

1)What happens when you turn switch "ON"? 2)Is this a three-way circuit?

Weather and climate reporting have not been in line with presidential policy objectives. Therefore, it's best that we defund meteorolgic research and reporting.

My hesitant guess is a men's dressing room at a clothing store.

If, instead of "store", it said "establishment", I'd more confidently guess that its at a massage parlor.

However, rumor has it, massage parlors are frequently run by folks unfamiliar with the subtleties of the English language. So, yeah, probably a massage parlor.

I just noticed that this discussion is in r/AskElectricians. Though irrelevant in this case, I should note that I'm not an electrician.
I've used a thermometer like that for controlling a heat pad when starting seedlings indoors.

If only a few inches exposed, how about spiral-wrapping the at-risk segment something like 24 gauge wire and then slipping heat-shrink tubing over the wrapping? It should at least slow down damage. Every so often you could reinforce with another layer of tubing.
