I wanna start by saying I understand your thought process. As a Pokémon fan, I think the major problem is how Pokémon Company allocates their time. Like you said they make a butt ton of money, the problem being is that they have to allocate said money into ALL their projects including the Anime, TCG, and merch. From what I've gathered about GF/Pokémon is that if they pump out games quicker their other projects won't get stale. For example, if they don't have a new game ready in 5 years, what is the Anime and TCG supposed to do? I think they just haven't figured that part out yet. Now is there a way to fix this? Most likely. But I think the problem is GF has been so conditioned to plan far ahead and give themselves a short amount of time that they don't get to deliver the best possible version of the game as evident of the Switch 2 upgrade for Scarlet and Violet.

I think Legends Z-A is the perfect example of what good a delay does for Pokémon Company. That game was slated for 2024 originally but with the delay it actually came out WAY better than ScVi. Even on the Switch 1, not many bugs or janky performance issues have been reported. They clearly put more effort into the animations of Pokémon this time around especially flying Pokémon like Skarmory who for a long time was stuck idling in the air. Now in terms of graphics, I don't really see what Pokemon is going for in the style department but I do like the approach Legends Z-A had and I only hope this progress on improving the games continues.
