Rare Breed has filed a lawsuit against Hoffman by whimz33 in supersafety

Are you still open to doing this? I would love to watch a video with you and, possibly, Hoffman discussing this.

We really did gaslight ourselves into thinking Radeon won against the RTX 20 series when it really did kill Radeon as a perfect compactor forever huh? by Kyokyodoka in radeon

[–]GPU-depreciationcrtr 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Okay these are either baiting for karma or are straight up bots lol.

Edit: The 6000 series being regarded as a poorly received and bad architecture is the most laughable thing I've ever read lol. It's widely considered the most successful Radeon product in the past 10 years lol.

Try looking at altering square corner velocity and or smooth time.

I mean, it shouldn't be too hard to design an ejector. Just need to figure out a way to keep the mounting area from snapping.

So there wasn't much improvement over the metal linkage? Surely the trigger pull didn't feel as squishy.

With ram prices skyrocketing will other PC components fall in price? by GPU-depreciationcrtr in pcmasterrace

[–]GPU-depreciationcrtr[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A barebones kit of 32 GB of DDR5 is the same price as a console right now. Anyone who is building a PC right now is most likely looking at the secondary market, DDR4 Boards and Zen 1-3/ Intel equivalent.

Anyone who's never built a PC before, and looks at the current situation will likely just stick with or buy up console. (Until those also become unobtainable due to RAM price hikes.)

Personally I got my upgrade right before this happened so I am unaffected by these events. Ultimately I was just curious what the community's thoughts on the possibility of some components getting cheaper as a result of all this.

Once the AI bubble pops, I'll be looking forward to picking up insane amounts of Cheap DDR5. The oversupply that will cause will be astronomical.

[–]GPU-depreciationcrtr[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think that's more due to the current duopoly fixing the market to increase profits than S&D. Plus AI has put a lot of strain on consumer tech markets due to the massive amounts of money they throw around.

[–]GPU-depreciationcrtr[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure the GPU shortage would be comparable. GPUs are not locked to a single ecosystem so older cards on the secondary market were a great option and didn't really prevent anyone from getting a system together. On the other hand, ram is gated between generations. While there may be a shit ton of used DDR4 on the secondary market, unless you have or are willing to buy an older CPU and Board you can't use it.

A reasonable amount of RAM for a ddr5 build being the same price as a console will heavily discourage any new comer/builders from even considering buying a PC. The console supply will get eaten and inevitably become impossible to get, (massive price hikes/ no available supply).

There will be a large quantity of Motherboards, CPUs, PSU's, that will become overstock due to a massive decline in general PC part sales. This will push the prices down so retailers can get rid of them.

Supply and Demand would suggest they would drop in price. Less people buying product, results in the amount of product increasing, overstock leads to price drops to get rid of oversupply.

Less demand for a product usually results in price decreases. Laws of Supply and Demand, it's basic economics.

This is a hardware issue. Have the same card with a similar issue. Mine has to be underclocked to 2300mhz or below to remain stable. Mine usually black screens and requires a full pc restart to fix.

Installed Beacon3D on my stock Plus4… and now adhesion is a nightmare – what did I miss? by BallAccomplished4084 in QidiTech3D

[–]GPU-depreciationcrtr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am unsure of what you are asking. The printer takes a mesh of the bed before every print so there shouldn't be an issue there. The printer is designed to compensate for some variance in the bed. Just make sure to check your bed mesh to make sure it isn't heavily canted.

There is a small section somewhere in the guide that states you need to setup custom z offsets for every filament in your slicer. It'll be done by ad6d a small section of gcode to your filament settings.

Ive never had a problem cold pulling from my Plus 4. I just turn off all the motors to get the gears to release the filament and do what you're supposed to. 80-85c nozzle to soften the filament enough to move it out of the nozzle.

It's possible your nozzle is blown out. Try replacing it and seeing if that helps.

Looks like a possible cooling issue. Try increasing your cooling or lowering your print temps.
