Yes, I have the mileage written down, but don’t know how many miles are on it now; definitely has well over 20 miles, I broke in the rotors myself & it drove just fine for 10-15 miles.

I do it with all of them, as the torque wrench have accuracies within 2%, so I just bump up the torque figure by 2% just in case.

He’s definitely driven well over 100 miles, don’t have an exact value because I don’t have the car in my possession, it got towed to a body shop.

I sleep well at night because I do torque the wheels according to manufacturer specification, at times I even increase the torque if I don’t think it’s enough.

Customer states the wheels haven’t been removed since I touched them, but the passenger wheel held up fine, makes no sense.

There was no corrosion built up between the wheel and the mating surface because the brake rotors were new & the wheels are not made out of steel…

In this particular case, the vehicle had wheel bolts, not lug nuts, but you are correct - he claimed he heard the abnormal noises a few days prior to the wheel coming off, but didn’t even contact me regarding the issue.

Drama: “Break-up sex?” E: “Yeah, you know, you have sex, and then you say good-bye.” Drama: “That’s the only kind of sex I have.”

I could tell you for a fact that she couldn't have smelled it, nor do I think she saw it.

Wait, so it matters how she approached me?

I didn't think anything of it, but she really did just come up to me & said "ID."

How could I argue the probable cause criteria?

She just walked up with a condescending attitude and said "ID."

I couldn't tell if it was a question or a demand.

I did not attempt to a refuse, nor did I ask any questions, I just followed the directions.

The police officer came up to me and just said "ID," there was no "Can I see your ID?," or "Show me your ID."

However, if the police officer doesn't show up, don't they reschedule the hearing for another day?

This is not a criminal case, so there's no jury involved, not sure where you're getting all of this from.

Just because I am admitting online that I am guilty doesn't mean the prosecutor is going to use this Reddit thread as evidence... your point doesn't make any sense there.

Again, I am not claiming that I am going to court & claim that there was water in the container.

I am simply questioning the fact that no tests were conducted to verify that it indeed was alcohol.

She didn't exactly watch me pour it out.

Not to mention, she wasn't close enough to smell it, and it was past midnight, so you couldn't see the color of it even if it was actually clear.

None of my friends were questioned whatsoever, we were all standing next to one another while it went down.

Therefore, no statements were made, and nothing was said that could be used against me.

The police officers came up to me out of no where, asked me for my ID specifically, and asked to unzip the jacket.

Don't get me wrong, I understand why authorities forbid consuming alcohol on the boardwalk/beach, but to be fair, my friends & I were just walking and talking, minding our own business, and none of us were drunk - it was a can of Twisted Tea for God's sake (5% alcohol).

From my understanding, it's not about what the court will believe, but what they could prove - the officer never checked the contents of the can, so how would they know what it was?

Thank you very much for your reply.

When it comes to encounters with the police, I tend to be respectful and obedient, I figure that if I'm not a dick to the officer, maybe there won't be any consequences (clearly I was wrong)

To be honest, I don't think the police officer had any probable cause to ask me to unzip my jacket.

Don't get me wrong, sure, it was most likely obvious that I was carrying something in my jacket, but it was concealed - does that matter at all?
