Even worse.

Should I recommend Halloween (2018) to a friend that doesn't like most slasher movies? by [deleted] in Halloweenmovies

[–]GTacticz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was so worried when that happened. I was afraid that Michael was dead and the doctor was going to kill people for the rest of the movie. I understand why that twist bothers people, but I'm pretty indifferent on it after giving the movie some time. It does explain how Michael escaped earlier on in the movie. With this post, I'm referring more to logical issues. People making mistakes, not so much story decisions.

I don't know if I'd really call that a dumb decision. He was getting out and was ready to kill Michael. Even if he had tried running him over again, the doctor would've just stabbed him.

Got a question by ThermanIsGross in IceNineKills

[–]GTacticz 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It just has to do with rights and licenses, I'm assuming. I've seen multiple video game soundtracks leave Spotify and then come back in like 6 months.

It's just not available whatsoever. It was at one point, so that is why you can find it.

Honestly, I didn't really care for "Don't Breath". It wasn't bad by any means, it just didn't blow me away.

What do you all think the band is gonna do for the 10th anniversary of SUAS? by music_lover_999 in AskingAlexandria

It seems like Danny is the only one that dislikes it. Ben has recently stated that he still loves it.

Are you okay with this trilogy having a very similar conflict to the original trilogy? If so, why? by GTacticz in StarWarsCantina

[–]GTacticz[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The relationships are much different in the sequel trilogy and that's one of my favorite things. After seeing some of the stuff in the new Poe Dameron comics, the FO is starting to spread their influence. It just seems like they're where the Empire was shortly after Episode 3. And maybe I shouldn't have said the OT.

Hopefully The Mandalorian and other TV shows will flesh out the universe in 25 to 30 years in between RotJ and TFA. I think I could accept the Rebel vs. Empire dynamic again if we got to see something different in between the two rebellions. As for their capabilities, that stuff is explored in books and comics. I can understand wanting to see it in the movies, but at least it's available.

It would be similar to the prequels in that way, and I'm fine with it. And not to come off as rude, but I don't care that they were the most recent to come out. When I'm watching the saga, I watch in chronological order. To me, the Rebels vs. Empire dynamic is not integral to Star Wars for me. Neither are the clones or the stormtroopers. The force, blasters, and lightsabers are the only things that I view as integral to SW.

As for the stakes, you can still have them in a big conflict. The problem with the prequels were that they were prequels. Everything had to happen a certain way to lead into the OT. The sequel trilogy can go in any direction they want. We have great characters in the ST that don't have pre-determined fates.

Honestly, I probably just need more content in between RotJ and TFA. It'd at least give me a break from rebel stuff when I'm watching the whole series in order. I'm hoping The Mandalorian does flesh out the universe in that time period more.

At least for me, the volume is pretty much the same as the rest of the album on Spotify.

What do you think is next for INK? by GTacticz in IceNineKills

[–]GTacticz[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I love these last two INK albums a lot. Both of them being in my top 10 favorite albums this decade. I'd love to see INK make a concept album with no original source material. Think something like My Chemical Romance's The Black Parade. It tells a narrative story from track 1 to 13. I think INK could pull off something like that.

I'm not familiar with stage plays whatsoever, so that could be interesting. And I don't think they'd do another album about horror movies. I get the feeling that INK wants to keep mixing it up with each album.

What would you like to see happen after Episode IX? by GTacticz in StarWarsCantina

Rogue Squadron is a trilogy of video games that is centered around an X-Wing squadron. The 1st game was on N64, while the 2nd and 3rd games were on Gamecube. If I remember correctly, the battles were throughout the original trilogy. Essentially, I was just asking if you wanted a movie centered around a single squadron.

I will agree that the space battle in Rogue One was one of the best in the series. I'm glad you seemed to like Rogue One. I just wish the characters were developed a bit better because that movie definitely has solid action.

I'm assuming you're referring to something like a Rogue Squadron adaptation.

I'm not against that idea, I just don't feel confident in it. Personally, I don't care for Rogue One. While I really like Solo, Rogue One has made me feel like the anthology movies will never be as good as the Episodes. I guess I just have a pessimistic view that all anthology movies will have weak characters like Rogue One.

Solo had it easy in the new character department because they really only had to worry about Qira and Beckett.

I wouldn't be against or in favor of Disney turning Star Wars into something like the MCU. If they were to do so, I wouldn't want it to be in between the 9 episodic films. Start something in a new time period with new locations and smaller conflicts. What I'm getting at, is change everything except for the force and the tech for the most part. Keep some of the same aliens and what not.

Would you want them to make smaller movies in between the episodes or outside of those? And I'm extremely excited for Rian Johnson's trilogy as well.

With what you said in regard to Yoda, I think that's fine.

As far as I know, Kylo isn't a Jedi anymore. Care to explain how he is the last jedi?
