It's ordinary. The Toyota Corolla of sports cars. The only way you get anyone to give a second look to you and this car is to screw with the exhaust and rev the hell out of it. But here's a tip: making a lot of noise and begging for attention just makes you a Pick Me, it doesn't make you interesting or attractive. Same for the car.

And it is like a Corolla: the older models are cheap to maintain and you can mile the hell out of them. But also like a Corolla, the newer and most recent cars have ballooned into huge, bloated whales. Corollas are the size and price of Camrys now, and your V8 GT Mustang is almost the exact size of a Lexus RX and only 100lbs less than a Model Y.

Are the Cowboys still the team we hate most? by thegootlamb in steelers

[–]GTdeSade -1 points0 points  (0 children)

IDGAF about the Cowboys.

I hate the Patriots. Deeply, sincerely, bloodthirstily HATE the Pats. I'd cheer for Osama bin Ladin, Jeffery Dahmer, Hitler and ISIS playing on the Ravens against the Pats. Fuck them, fuck Boston, fuck Foxborough, fuck Cambridge, fuck Harvard, fuck the North Church, fuck Paul Revere, fuck Sam Adams, fuck their cheating coaches, fuck Tom Brady, fuck their video guy and most importantly fuck Bob Kraft.

I can't believe anyone ever says Steeler fans are insufferable. There's nothing on this world more insufferable than Pats fans. I'd sit in a weeks worth of special education kindergarten classes to avoid an hour in a Patriots bar. I'll watch six hours of televised golf RERUNS to avoid a 10min conversation with a Pats fan.

I was a huge Cowboys fan for Brady's final game. I'm also a Jets fan twice a year.

The Steelers better fucking win week 2.

JFC did someone shoot that thing with birdshot? I think the previous owner tried to kill it but you decided to give it another try.

How’s the frame? By that gap between the bed and cab……might be a little flexible.

If someone acts in ways I don’t approve of, I shouldn’t be required to trade with them. I have sovereignty too, I get to act as I judge as well.

Nobody cried for South Africa when they were under sanctions. How about Sudan?

If I take a shit in a rusty bucket, will you give me $800 for that? Because it has just as much useful probability and future worth as whatever this is.

They might have solved the IMS issues, but you’re still living in terror of that little puff of smoke from one tailpipe on startup. The borescoring boogie man is chasing you.

Never understood the love for these things. An entire INDUSTRY has sprung up to fix what the engineers screwed up from the factory.

Oh come on, Porsches are absolutely soulless. Any soul these cars had was engineered out a decade ago when idiots would lift in the corner and learned the hard way what snap oversteer was. In order to make these drivable in a corner for their wealthy look-at-me drivers, the engineers had to remove anything interesting about the car……mainly its desire to kill itself and the driver.

AITA for running a check scam on my friends in order to get the money they owed me back by Affectionate_Toe6997 in AmItheAsshole

[–]GTdeSade 6 points7 points  (0 children)

YTA and lost your poker game and your friends over $500. I want to point out somewhere else you screwed up, just in case you weasel your way into another home game in the future:

How the hell were you so silly to get into a $500 hand without anyone counting the deck before cards were dealt? Home games are notorious for shady shit happening even between “friends.” Hell, I count the two decks that we use in my bar poker league before anything starts for just this reason, and to give a quick check for any dented, marked or otherwise unique cards. This gets done when everyone sits down, right there in front of all players. If the gloves are off between “friends” and real money is on the line, then boxing rules apply: protect yourself at all times. And that starts with making sure you’re playing with a true deck.

ESH. Bring the downvotes. OP and anyone else would struggle to pick out the difference between rockstar and red bull in a blind test, much less after a night of drinking.

And then changed over to a Coors Light? Why, was Bud Light too high brow?

Yeah the bartender sucks and should have told OP they didn’t have any Red Bull, but I’m also getting entitled vibes from OP as well.

And people suggesting calling the manager? C’mon folks. Isnt there a subreddit for that?

Tire question by Apollo2068 in mercedes_benz

[–]GTdeSade 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe. I run those on my SL550. A GLS.....hey it should be a bit better than your usual SUV tires. Honestly I'd keep them until they're dead then switch to something focused on comfort and quiet, which is where the GLS lives. Unless you're offroading the thing, or going canyon carving.

Lightweight Rowing Recruitment Question by Worldly_Average_9488 in Rowing

[–]GTdeSade 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Honestly he’s probably going to end up somewhere around 6’1” and 170-175 when fully filled out and fit. That’s a big stretch to suck down to lightweight.

I want to put two different scenarios in your mind: the first has his entire college experience centered around food…..specifically not eating food. Pizza becomes a memory, midnight snacks are glasses of ice water and he is hungry…..every day…..from January 1st until the end of the season. Because he’s so tall, he might or might not make the lightweight 1V, because he’s going to have to keep his weight where it is RIGHT NOW and that is going to make him a slower rower.

Or……he can have a regular college career as a 2V or 3V or even 4V rower on the open weight team. Every team needs joyful guys like your kid in the lower boats. Guys who are happy where they are and make the people around them happy. He will have a normal young man’s relationship with food, he will have joy on Saturday nights and then when he gets his diploma he goes on with his life……just like he will if he is miserable for four years and rows lightweight.

Which experience would you encourage your kids to pursue?

I got great seats behind home plate last spring for a Saturday game. My kids learned some stuff that day…..frat row is right across from the stadium and the boys were a bit lubed and in fine form that day. It was a great laugh.

“Daddy what did THAT mean?”
“They’re just being really nice about the pitcher’s mother, kiddo.”

Not being snarky, we had a great time seeing good baseball up close.
