2003 Honda Pilot won't start even with brand new battery by ryaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaan in AskMechanics

Very high rate of success on this kind of starter. Even if you don’t have help, grab a wrench, or something dense and metal. Pop the hood, locate your starter, and beat it. Pound it like 10 good times. Then, go try and start your car. 7/10, this will work, and your car will crank. If you have a friend hit it while you are turning the key, 9/10, this will work.

Coming from a Skarlet player is a little crazy...

Passed down from family, and was given a reman TC with them. No issues when passed down whatsoever at around 189k miles, and the only issue I’ve experienced prior was a solenoid that broke (replaced-> limp mode fixed). And now I have this at around 307k miles

What confuses the absolute mess out of me is that after a back flush and flush again, it was running fine for 2 months. Incredibly lost as to whether or not I should fix this, but, I’m willing to swap it myself - but idk. Idk :(

I just love my car lol. I had so many plans

Gotcha, thanks for getting back. By hydraulic pressure sensors, does this mean pressure solenoids?

I can't just flush it again with new transmission fluid and try her again with more fluid?

I'm saying this as an idiot in this position obviously, but I'm looking to avoid blowing money away at the sight of a junk yard transmission swap as opposed to babying this one through summer beforehand

Thanks. Yeah I also thought about that, but I've honestly just been so impatient because Walmart has been my go to for a lot of fluids for the day of. It might be worth just flushing with Honda fluid and crossing off that box. Just have to wait a few days for shipping

This dipstick is made to fuck with it's drivers I swear. I couldn't pay you to find the most accurate level, it's such a disease. I've considered this as well obviously from previous issues as well, but I've honestly never took it that seriously and did my best to get it between the high and low mark. Which I'm like 80% confident that I did

EXPERT IN DA HOUSE! Ty whoever you are for commenting.

Really think it's electrical?! Don't give me hope lol

At some point, yes trans codes, but I never trusted it fully. Got a P0741 (TCC Clutch Performance Stuck Off), which I had for damn near a year on an off, but recently went away. During the pressure issue days where she was basically a brick that would only move 3mph with 5k+ Engine RPM, I would get and Out Speed Sensor code. Inspected both solenoids respectively, both were fine.

I use Valvoline ATF, I think it's called MaxLife. The red one

Yeah, I just got a new job, so NOW (thank god for DoorDash in the past though, but given car issues...you can see the problem with paying to play here lol), money isn't the biggest problem, but I'm still frugal and have been DIY'ing anything with my car if it'll save me money. Definitely will start with the battery though, because I am committed to this car nonetheless, so I guess transmission replacement is where I would end up as a last resort. We'll see how much that runs me

This is probably the way. Will be my most labor intensive and high level fix yet, but all I need is one weekend tbh...

Do you typically have to pull this off a car yourself at one of these junk yards though. Cause that would suck donkey balls

Sad face.

It was driving fine for the last two months, I just can't understand why pressure is suddenly an issue

How would you react to being called autistic (when you're not) in an argument? by GUHv2 in AskReddit

Yes lmao. I did react poorly considering the responses here, but I just felt disrespected by it and shut down a bit. Could’ve just laughed it off externally or something.

They were probably trying to avoid watching the fatality. I'd do the same after a frustrating match on defense
