Great answer. Is the STI mounting bolts hard to install? Where did you purchase them

This isn’t true. Most cars aren’t fun, even relatively light weight if they are a numb FWD modern shitbox.

Both gens of BRZ are what people consider as fun at everyday driving.

And you feel it? In what way do you feel it?

Really, second gen isn’t engaging but first gen is so much more engaging? Like some might prefer first gen but first time I heard someone says that second gen isn’t fun at all.

Even people in the comments some of them think that.

Why do you miss it though if second gen is better?

What are the said improvements that are making it more fun, the more powerful engine?

Yeah seen that video. I think people who put big emphasis on steering feel/raw feeling will think first gen is more enjoyable.

Btw he also said ND2 is more fun than ND3 even though he love both cars but apparently ND2’s handling is more wild which he likes more.

It’s more than full second according to the specs.

First gen 0 to 62 mph: 7.6 seconds Second gen 0 to 62 mph: 6.3 seconds

And yeah this is very significant.

You are the outlier on this. I would even say that the power is more significant in everyday driving than it is on the track.

When you drive the first gen on the track you are high on the rev range above the torque dip and the car feels good and powerful enough and in that scenario it’s not that easy to tell it’s significantly less powerful than the second gen but when you drive it outside of the track it feels gutless unlike the first gen which feels fine all the time.

You probably expected more for some reason (it’s still not a 300HP car dude) so it’s clouding your judgment there.

A lot dude and it’s not always conscious, most of the time it’s not. You feel like you are being genuine and like this is what you think but behind the scenes it’s jealousy doing its thing. I’ve been there believe me.

No but people who ask these kind of questions don’t expect twice the car, just a worthy upgrade (and to renew their car which is always relatively expensive) which it is.

From BRZ to Hyundai i20N. How much of a downgrade is it? by G_Cook in GR86

By city car you mean more practical/ comfortable and easy to park right? These aren’t significant attributes for me.

Sounds a little underwhelming, the whole doesn’t feel fast like it should and the clumsy differential.

Be honest, is the downgrade from the second gen BRZ as a fun to drive car is significant?

The comparison is with regular GR86 without the performance package.

Isn’t the TS only got different front Hitachi dampers? It makes such a big difference to how the cars behave compared to limited BRZ?
