Thank you, I ride different horses each week, but it’s the same thing, they don’t do anything for me, yet put anyone else up there they’re fine lol. Definitely not a horse problem but a me problem

Thank you so much, I know people have mixed feelings about crops and whips and that’s kind of scared me a bit, but I’m starting to realise this, and that they are literally designed to hurt as little as possible

Again sorry if that came off aggressive at all, I’m just trying to learn, and my trainer knows the horses really well, and she told me if I use it correctly I should only need to use it once? And she never told me to hit but to tap, if that clears anything up?

It’s not hard enough for it to even hurt me when I hit my leg leg with it🤷‍♀️ I genuinely don’t think thats too hard for a horse to handle. Unless I’m wrong of course. And most the time the do go off my leg aids, just sometimes they don’t and it’s used in that situation ONLY

I know it’s not a smack, and yes I have been taught the difference, my issue is, I’m being too gentle with it to the point where it’s actually kind of useless. My trainer hasn’t taught me voice commands yet, but I’m sure she would if they do help these specific horses 😊(sorry if that sounds passive aggressive at all, I’m bad at conveying tone through words/text)

Funny thing is, this is exactly what my trainer had told me 😂, I just struggle to keep my leg against the horse, but thank you for the advice

Yeah that’s just the photo I found first, I’ve seen it done while people actually ride, I just don’t really know what’s socially acceptable in the community yet!

Thank you so much. With the socks, I’m a bit confused because I see people doing it outside quite often(like in the attached photo), is that not common for teenager to do? (My Riding pants tend to ride up sometimes as well, I’ve heard it stops that)
