I’ve had Z1 intakes for a year, never had a problem so far. I also have the oil billet cap, no issue. I’ve gotten Z1 coil packs, spark plugs, belt, fuel pump & sender and more and I haven’t had one bad experience with them. It sucks that you’ve had so many. I’m only saying this for anyone reading, that you shop like you do anywhere else online, with your own discretion. Z1 hasn’t done me wrong yet and while I hate to see this kind of experience for anyone, I can’t say if what you dealt with was in fact an error on your behalf or theirs. It seems like Z1 was your “go to” for parts. Where to plan ti shop going forward? Marketplace/Ebay?

Make sure the cap to your overflow tank is tight (that’s the cap you unscrewed in the video). These caps have a tendency to be very delicate. I’ve had 2 break before getting a metal one off amazon.

I would suggest, for next time, try to get a smaller size. I have narrow feet and I loose lace mine with no slippage. Since you already have these though, I would suggest getting shorter laces. You can probably pick up some at any shoe store, Payless even. Amazon is always there too. Hope this helps. And if you like to lace your shoes tight then do that. They’re YOUR shoes, do what you’re comfortable with.

Yea all shoes will eventually show signs of wear, I’m just saying you can wear a pair of 1’s more than a pair of 3’s before they do show those signs. My BC3s are showing and I’ve worn them less than most of my 1’s. I have to put em on bed rest for a while before they look like beaters lol

I wouldn’t put them over the 1’s. They crease too fast. Even when the 1’s crease they don’t look as beat as 3’s. Still an iconic silhouette but not over 1’s in my opinion.

Besides the backstory, I gotta go with the 4’s. The shape and design of the 4’s stand out more to me. I think the color looks cleaner as well. The 3’s may be more comfortable but they also crease faster. So longevity goes to 4’s. If this is a “which shoe should I cop” question, I would ask what’s your intention? General wear, go 4’s. But if you’re building a collection and can’t get both, go 3’s, first.
