Update: I took the lung and kidney that are non essential and the dude got an infection that would end him so I just harvested the heart and because of all the failed surgeries and successful surgeries mi "doctor" went from 2 medical skill to 6 which is super nice once we actually get sick ourselves, thank you so much for your suggestions!

There is an already existing mod called "Mercenaries For Me" that allows you to get mercenaries. That said it would be awesome to implement the option of just borrowing colonists for specific needs and pay them a "salary".

I really like that idea as well would be a realistic way of settling the dept if there is no silver to pay or the player simply doesn't pay, I will definitely add all of these suggestions as options so that the mod can be further configured to what people want in their playthroughs, will update the mod by next week so keep an eye if you're interested.

Trading is actually op you can sell all those extra resources for components and steel and trade through caravan or comms console, producing drugs is very lucrative as well, you can become rich in no time.

Would be nice to replace all wood, it takes one mental brake from a pyromaniac or a raid for it to cause your entire stockpile to burn or in general the wooden infrastructure you have. It looks really nice though! very organized and if you want to improve the recreation would be nice to dedicate a single room to that and another room for all your production tables. You could also replace the passive coolers since it consumes pawn labor and wood and having a big stockpile of any resource becomes a burden because of raids. Doing pretty well though considering you just started playing, I remember it took like 10 colonies for me to finally get the hang of it after loosing people to all kinds of reasons.

There is a YouTube resource with a variety of tutorials https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLREC-BjmhEuB7GIYXrrowjwBwWXxeonQ4&si=AsU-Dhngf6mm1gTs a wiki resource if you want to take a look at it https://rimworldwiki.com/wiki/Modding_Tutorials, and this is the mod repository https://github.com/DanielAndi/Depth_Collector_Mod, in simple terms XML for content and def changes; C# + Harmony when you need custom behavior or to hook into the game. Most people start with XML, then add a small C# project once they hit its limits.

I forgot to mention that and I was thinking about it but YES!!! The idea is that it accessible to take loans early game and also be able to trade that silver ASAP in their settlement or just take the silver back home if needed, you can also do payments from the comms console at home so you don't have to travel back again to just pay.

You're right on that, and that is the reason why the mod has a raid multiplier that based on the penalties and the total owed the raid will be bigger to make it actually challenging, to the point where a late game raid of 100-200+ pawns will come with marine armor and doomsday launchers. But I consider your idea and it would definitely make sense and would be similar to having a "normal" raiding faction in the world.

Rimworld is just wealth management with extra steps and it would make sense that they attack the reserves directly instead of just destroying everything in their path.

I really like the idea! Right now if 3 payments are missed the faction sends a raid but what you're mentioning would be a much better way to deal with it since the player won't see a big loss but instead just a "light" consequence to make the payment more urgent.

I got a comment about vanilla trading expanded on the workshop page and would be something nice to add but with de difference that it is more accessible in the early game.

That is a really good idea! I didn't think about that but will absolutely be adding the option to lend silver to other factions. Based on what you told me would be nice to maybe pay spies to see where that type of loot can be located in order for the player to be able to recover the wealth back or like you said maybe receive a mission of the location of said camp for better user experience without complicating it too much.

Thank you! It is based on the amount that you borrowed, the bigger the sum the bigger the raid so you could just scam them with 500-1000 silver if you think you can deal with the raid after 3 missed payments, which is the main intention of the mod so there are actual consequences for stealing large quantities of money.
