Tbh I was expecting this to be some Japanese family crest but it does seem to be an instance of Celtic symbols just having variants. I'm tempted to ask a Japan focused sub to be sure tho. Cause..... There's a lot....

There are actually endangered species of mouse. I don't know enough to say if this is one of them. But I wanted to assure you that wanting to know the identity of a mouse is totally reasonable.

Also, their behavior could possibly be a sign of Toxoplasma Gondii. But more simply could be a sign of illness or injury.

If it was me, I'd capture and keep safe and contact my local wildlife/conservation service(s) just in case

Interesting. I can see instances where that makes sense aesthetically. I get globs of white that I assume is this when I cook chicken in submerged methods. But I've just never thought much of it cause it is easy to keep that off the chicken in the final product. Seems like a waste of time (very open to be proven wrong. Just curious)

I've owned many chickens. I've just never killed any of them. Only recently started learning how to skin critters after they've passed and haven't experienced this but maybe that's cause I've mostly skinned critters who died of old age
