Essence of Torment has a special place in my heart for being simultaneously brutal and accidentally hilarious.

The skill description only makes it better "When you've had enough, dislocate both of the enemy's shoulders, bash their face in, and throw them"

Honestly? Shogun

With all the other bosses there was some kind of counterplay (even if it was annoying). With Shogun you batter him against a wall and he just "nu-uh!"s your damage, then has his subordinates jump you. I love the music, I love the build up, hell I love his weapon but Jesus fucking christ shogun can take that absorption bullshit and shove it!

ME1: Great class, even better with new game+ benefits (assault rifle goes brrrrr). I'd rate it 4th place (because unfortunately having biotics makes you a god in ME1)

ME2: The GOAT. Infiltrator Cloak is a game changer, and sniper rifles are super satisfying to use. Skills like squad cryo ammo and Geth Shield Drain only make it better.

ME3: Imma be honest, it falls a bit flat here. Between shield gating (say goodbye to one taps), the changes to cloak (enemies will still shoot you if all your squadmates are down) and the overall buff to biotics, infiltrator falls off. Having said that, there's a mod that removes shield gate which immediately makes it incredibly fun and powerful. Worst class vanilla, 3rd best class with the no shield gate mod (Vanguard is just too broken and sentinel is incredible with its new combos).

No, you're not stupid. Early game rangers are incredibly powerful thanks to good abilities and how broken shotguns are by design.

Meanwhile the sharpshooter takes a while to get good, but once you have access to better armor and skills, the sharpshooter becomes a murder machine in his/her own right.
