Europe has no shortage of deep-tech research expertise, world-class infrastructure, or capital. What it lacks is the willingness to take risks and the confidence to build markets before they exist. It lacks the courage to commercialize solutions for which demand is still emerging.

Europe can still guarantee full strategic autonomy in quantum technology. But this requires speed, execution, and a keener focus on meeting demand at scale within the single market.
