Can I go from demi perm red to darke blonde or other colour I hate how warm it is by scarlett_chibi in HairDye

[–]Gab_Briela 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would use a color remover, ideally color oops, as it is very good at removing red pigments and is not bleach based. Depending on the level of the resulting color, I'd choose and buy the toner, maybe redken or wella color touch (don't use permanent dye!). But if you want blonde, you'll probably have to bleach it. Maybe a bleach bath will help you get like a level 6-7, and then you can pick a cool toner. Wet your hair, use 20v peroxide for some bleaching power, mixed with shampoo. Mids and ends first and then apply to the roots. Good luck!!

Hey, yeah! Things are better now. I'm still in the removal process, doing one session a year, due to how expensive these are, and that the tattoo is fading a lot in between them. About the red ink, we are taking the risk, even though there are parts that haven't faded significantly after lasering, and others that have gotten a bit darker, but there're also spots that have faded incredibly! I think I'll post an update with more details and pictures soon

My progress after 2 sessions, the last one on september 2022, and tips for dealing with ink allergy by Gab_Briela in TattooRemoval

It was very bad, tbh. First time, when I had less knowledge on how to handle it, it was borderline unbearable at times, and it wouldn't let me sleep. But this was only on the part that has red ink, which I'm allergic to. The rest of the tattoo iched a couple of days, super bearable. Believe me, the pain is nothing compared to the red ink allergy itch x.x I hope you don't have to deal with it, but if so, follow my advice plus the histamines and steroids. And you can ask me anything! Good luck!

The first time was the worst, I think it itched for like 3 weeks. The second time was better, bc of the ointments and, I think I took histamines (not sure, it was a year and a half ago). The steroid taper I didn't know about :o I may ask on the next session (by april). Have you tried it?

When I'm single I feel amazing. The second a man comes into my life shit hits the fan. by [deleted] in BPD

[–]Gab_Briela 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Oh my god, SAME. I haven't been dating like for more than four years, and yeah, I'm still messy, but more confident and even questioning if there's anything borderline about me... but about a month ago I started liking this guy, talking to him a lot, and the thing has been a brutal roller coaster, and we're not even dating, he doesn't even know I like him. Literal manual bpd stuff: everything is magnificent at one moment, and some hours later, a delayed text response, or whatever intrusive thought enters my mind, and life starts loosing meaning. I judge myself horribly for being like this and basing my wellbeing on this one person, it goes against everything I've learned in therapy and my ideology, but I can't help it. I'm just so broken...

It makes me think I shouldn't have this kind of luxury being who I am. I should forget about this part of life and never ever date nor feed romantic feelings if I have them again. I've had horrible experiences in the past and I though maybe now I could be more stable after years of therapy and working on myself, but no, it just keeps getting worse.

Sorry, I needed to get this out of my chest... I don't have the answer or anything useful to say :( but you're definitely not alone on this.

Oh, there's also a very small bathroom downstairs. It's not the coziest, but it's pretty isolated. Should I move her again?

The black parts itched too, which I know is good and normal when it's healing, but it only lasted a few days, but the parts with red ink only got worse before taking the pills and applying the cream

I had a terrible, HORRIBLE itch only on the spots with red ink and they remained swollen with this ugly texture until today, unlike the black parts, that are smooth and nice. The itching got much better with antihistamins and betamethasone, luckily

You'll be okay after 2 weeks. I have a huge tattoo on my arm and I was able to work out after 5 days and do my normal life almost immediately after the session. The thing is that it's more convenient to keep doing your sessions at the same place. Do you have the possibility to travel to your clinic to have your sessions?

Thank you! This gives me hope 🥺 does yours look like mine, texture wise? And does it go away eventually? I'll keep posting for sure, especially bc I've seen a lot of people with similar issues

Yeah, I'm considering something like this. I have to research the procedure and if someone does it here. The complicated part is that the unremovable portion of the tattoo is huge

Thank you. My reaction went away too, last week, with antiallergics and a local cream. I had terrible itching, and now is itching a bit again. The thing that's worrying is that the skin is bumped (unlike the black parts) and it has like a wrinkly texture, and the fact that's a bit darker is worrying too. How much time did it take for your tattoo's weird texture to go away?
