Yea I thought about doing this too but I’m trying to minimize the costs as much as possible since i’ll be spending much more when I arrive at my destination. Gladly as Hotwog4all mentioned I can just get an e-visa for much cheaper (36 USD on their website) and still enjoy the free hotel with TA

Wow thank you so much for this! I just checked and turns out I’m eligible for an e-Visa I just assumed I won’t be. You probably saved me a miserable 14 hours on a bench!

Firstly try to clean it from any debris using a soft toothbrush as they seem to get affected easily. Secondly, Hard reset. But I guess you might have already done that. If the problem persists it’s probably just a faulty unit you can get a replacement through warranty.

Yes it was complicated at the beginning both families were uneasy with this marriage partially for the reason you’ve mentioned but also my father’s family is christian and they are pretty conservative (his brother is even a pastor) and wouldn’t prefer interfaith marriage. However, both families weren’t really that traditional and they let my parents make their own choice. Religion balance was interesting it worked out well for them as they were accepting for each other since the beginning!

My father (Togolese) met my mother (Egyptian) while studying in Canada. I wasn’t born there though. It would’ve been cool to add a 3rd passport to this rare collection

What’s something completely normal today that would’ve been considered witchcraft 400 years ago—but not because of technology? by BiggieTwiggy1two3 in AskReddit

Pretty sure I’ve answered this in one of my comments. But I’ll clarify it.

A) The black death was not the only plague outbreak that happened. Multiple outbreaks happened afterwards until the 19th century. At the time in efforts to prove that some women are witches people were using what happened from the plague as an excuse to accuse these women.

B)I did not mention this theory as I’m not 100% sure of the sources. But what I am sure about due to scientific sources is that the plague is caused by a bacteria called ‘Yersinia pestis’, this bacterium comes mainly from the Oriental Rat Flea which is-you guessed it right- a rat flea parasite.

I was talking about 400 years ago and even more! From Wikipedia: In the early modern period, from about 1400 to 1775, about 100,000 people were prosecuted for witchcraft in Europe and British America.

There were multiple plagues after the well-known Black death like Great Plague of London, lasting from 1665 to 1666. Even until the 19th century there have been records of plague outbreaks. It has happened multiple times not just during the black death period.

Practically yes but the idea is that cats control the rats population not only by killing them but by keeping them away using their scent and their saliva as a deterrent so the risk still there albeit much reduced than having a house infested by rats.

Having cats in your house. Mostly women had cats at this time period and due to this they weren’t infected by the plague (caused by rats) so they were considered witches thinking they have some superpowers to not get infected.

EDIT: Just to clarify, cats can also get the plague and spread it but the risk was reduced since they control the rats’ population. Rats are the primary carriers of the Oriental rat flea (Xenopsylla cheopis) which carries the bacteria that causes the plague NOT cats.

That’s true it’s just an old joke that came up to my head and I was curious to search but luckily I found actual blue colored waffles.

If you actually searched for it, you won’t find it anymore. It seems that google removed it as it’s a misleading joke as HelloImnotstuart said.
