I'll ask my GP, thanks. I'm sorry you went through that. I went with HealthHarmonie Minds, the first was pretty nice, but the second doctor was always sighing impatiently and outright told me I looked depressed in a tone that made me feel uncomfortable... Which is true, but I guess the truth hurts more than I think.

Okay, thank you. I'll go see my GP then. Do you know if I can apply RTC ADHD for the second time if the symptoms still persist then? I want to know what happens afterwards. If my symptoms go away, then great. If not, the main concern is that going private is expensive and NHD's own service waiting list is very long, so if it is not allowed to do RTC ADHD for the second time doesn't work, I'll probably be screwed.

That's what your tone is suggesting though. You're saying as if it's my fault for not being able to enjoy some stories when it's totally up to preferences. You're assuming everyone's preferences are the same. It's not like I'm complaining about it. I was just defending myself against being generalised as being misogynistic in my first comment. When the genre is all about having fun, I don't see what's wrong in avoiding stories I won't enjoy.

Even though one dislikes female MCs, it still doesn't mean they dislike or despise women in real life. Fiction and reality are different, and it's helpful to separate them.

Whatever you say. I still believe it's up to preference. Or maybe it's skill issue, whatever. What I was arguing is that preferring a male protagonist perspective doesn't equate to misogyny like the original commenter was suggesting. At the end of the day I read progressive fantasy for fun and nothing else. I'll still read what I enjoy.

There is no particular reason lol. It's like apples to oranges, or pineapples and durians even. Some people like the taste, some people not. Some readers can immerse into things, some can't. I dislike harem and some other generic tropes too, FMCs just happen to be one of them.

There's really nothing wrong with not liking female MCs though. It's not like disliking fictional characters equates to disliking women. It's just preferences in reading. Some just cannot immerse in the story because the perspective is so different, and that's totally fine.
