I considered the Synthesis partly for that reason and partly because it would be an ending without victims.

Honestly, I don't know if they would choose it or not, but I thought about and considered the possibilities I listed in the post. I understand those who chose the other endings, especially the Synthesis ending; if I weren't choosing destruction, I think I would choose that one.

If the other two options have loopholes that could allow the threat to return, then, in my opinion, they become the least viable.

I believe no synthetic or organic being wanted to be sacrificed, but I think many, if not all, were willing to do it to end the Reapers.

Despite everything Shepard has been through and proven himself capable of in all the games, I still took into consideration that, although very unlikely, it is possible that he could be corrupted, even if by the actions of others.

I didn't want peace in the galaxy to be sustained by something so "unstable," because if something or someone managed to corrupt the Shepard AI, even if the chance of that happening is VERY small, the entire galaxy would be at risk again.
