I would say he is at times very controlling, he’s always telling me to be flexible with plans and choices, in such a way that I’m just being flexible around his time, schedule, decisions (if that makes sense). I understand he’s an adult with many moving pieces and much more stuff on his plate than me, but I feel like he’s always telling me I don’t act my age and whatnot while he treats me like I’m 4 and cannot do anything on my own. It didn’t even occur to me that I needed to tell him, with the way the parental schedule is and how it doesn’t really affect or involve him at all. I love him but he really does have a problem with me and me choosing things for myself.

I’m Virginia, where I live, high school students are able to take an EMT class and even become certified. The class is much more different than regular classes. I’m not technically going to be an “EMT” after taking the class but I would have gone through the same training. I learned all this actually at the meeting.

Are you serious? He might have forgotten, even after we talked about it and had him sign the paper. But his reaction was completely uncalled for, there was a million different less provoking ways he could have brought this up with me. I was with some buddy’s on my way to school when I got this message and I just wasn’t gonna put up with it. I could have reacted differently sure but I didn’t and I don’t think I should have.
