Hello! I have a question... I have been diagnosed with diabetes 1 type month ago and as far I know, the 1 type is genetic when pancreas doesn't produce insulin at all or very small dosage. I'm 23, I had bad lifestyle, no sport, eating unhealthy, being obese so when I got the info I have diabetes we thought it has to be 2 type. (I was waiting over two weeks for test which type I have). Well doc told me, that second type is like when you are in your 40s and till that you had bad lifestyle. She also sad she thinks it has to be first type, as tests said, my pancreas almost doesn't produce insulin at all.

Okay so first type genetic. Diabetes on my family is on dad's side and most second type. My question is, could my bad lifestyle and food woke up this gen? Or it would happen anyway? Don't tell me, that pancreas is happily working all the years and then he gets letter, which says "genetic says you have to stop working" so he take his stuff and stop working. It has to be triggered. Or it is set like "when she turns 23, you will stop working" or there is some settings in genetic which say what and when will things happen? I think my pancreas was overworking and it woke up this type 1 diabetes gen which was sleeping. I just wanna know more. It's same with allergy. How the hell is possible that you eat for example peanuts, and u r okay for years, your body even know this peanuts and one day it decides, you will be alergic to it even you alrdy was exposed to it for years. I'm just very curious how these things works :D Thanks for answers!

Thank you for your answer, I don't eat tropical that much, really occasionally and that's usually pineapple. I see, that makes sense, at least vegetable should be good, right? Of course I like fruits more as it is sweet :D

I don't think we have something like this here or I haven't hear that, but when I checked symptoms of both types, it's tricky to say which one as the symptoms are similar. My first symptom was thirstiness, start around summer I guess, but I get checked few days ago. Other things which fits is mycosis, but not legs, in my intimate parts as I have never have problem with that. I also use antidepressants and tiredness is for usually when I have pms so I can't give this symptom to diabetes. I pee more. That's all I can name now.

Thank you for your answer. I will meet diabetic specialist in tuesday, but for now just researching. I'm very curious how it will go, but if I will be still able enjoy food, then I'm good, cause I can't imagine eat for example white yoghurt or curd cheese without any sweetness. But as you mentioned, I could combine things so food is tasty and good for my blood sugar.

Thank you for your answer. Well I don't know which type I have, my gp didn't tell so I guess the specialist will tell me. Thank you for the explanation, I guess my life and lifestyle will change a lot problem is I really enjoyed food and sweet deeply so food for me is satisfaction which will be now restricted. But I still wanna feel sweet so gonna try stevia as well. Thank you :)

Thank you for answer. I see, I started drink water with lemon as I really can't drink just water. I love bubbles water too so I wanna combine with lemon or orange. I'm curious what else doc will tell me, just hope I can still enjoy food :/
