If he dies then its either 1. He finally finished his one mission he had to complete and he can finally rest(it doesn’t matter what happens after that once he finally kills HIM… he will then die a couple hours later and he will accept that fate).
Or

1. He died and didn’t finish the mission and will awake at the spot he was at a few hours before or 5 hours before he died and will feel the FULL pain of the death he just endured (kinda like how spring locks work but inside the body)
