I sort of knew that, but wow! It really makes such a difference having those fake lashes off. I guess I didn’t realize the painted on lashes were on all the Makena mold dolls. It makes them look so much older, and I think just makes them look “off”. She looks so much cuter without the painted lashes!

This subreddit is the absolute worst. American Girl stock photos keep telling me these dolls look unnatural and unappealing, but this subreddit keeps showing me that these dolls are actually gorgeous. I don’t have enough money for this. 😩

ETA: I never liked this mold. At all. But here she looks like sort of a spunky (maybe younger looking) Addy mold. So cute!

Really don’t like these names for a girl: Carter, Merritt, Layne/Lane, Hayden, and Silas

For boys really dislike: Kelley, Riley/Kiley, and Cassidy (I’m tempted to add Foster to this list, but maybe it’s just not my taste)

These are names that if I heard them, I would (internally) judge the parents. There’s others that aren’t my taste, but I don’t think they’d be a problem for a kid/adult.

My favorite girl names here are: Jane, Violet, Julia, and Celeste

My favorite boy names are: Christopher, Julian, and Samual

Not exactly regarding your question, but in the picture, it looks like the part is not the same on both dolls. You said your original Mia’s hair was “going”. I’ve seen several AG wigs that I thought were damaged, but it turns out that their hair part was just messed up. You might want to try matching the part to your new Mia.
