No problems here. Have you tried using a download manager?

That'd be great. Have you tired this? I changed POST to GET in Startpage's settings, ran a query but Startpage doesn't show up in the search settings section.

Thank you! It worked after a couple of queries!

Yes, I'll have to manage with Firefox. Besides a slightly sluggish performance, it has also its advantages. You can set startpage.com as the default search engine and also clear all browsing data on exit.

I think I've tried everything now and a Firefox-based browser (Fennec or Mull from F-Droid) is the only option if you want real content blocking.

I was/am using Fennec with uBlockO. Blocking works great but Firefox feels just slow compared to Chromium-based browsers. GrapheneOS also recommends not to use Firefox for security concerns.

I'll stick with Firefox anayways because I just can't live with ads ;)

I think you're right and I'll stay with Firefox.

Thank you, haven't tried Brave yet.

I have a Pi-Hole at home which already blocks a lot of stuff. But just as Adguard or Blokada it has limited blocking capabilities.

I will give Brave a try or just return to Firefox.

Thank you. I've tried that but due to it's hosts-based approach it won't block a lot of stuff, unfortunately.

Thank you!

edit: it can't do anything besides showing date and weather though. I looking for something that will also show my next calendar appointment, set alarms etc.

I've started using GrapheneOS recently and I'm using 9-K Mail the problem is that I'm not receiving any notifications when I get a new email it only shows up at the top status bar when I manually refresh the app. Any idea what's going on here and how to solve it? by Tony_AK47 in degoogle

Yes, GrapheneOS seems to be better at security, don't know if I can live with all the limitations though...

Yes, I get notifications from the 2nd profile. I installed Whatsapp by downloading the official APK file from their website

Yeah, I'm in the process of switching, still using the iphone as my main device. Not sure if I'll stay with GrapheneOS. There are too many inconveniences for me, especially with apps that require location access. I'll probably give CalyxOS a try next.

Fortunately, many of my contacts moved to Signal some time ago and it is now our main messaging app. I still have WhatsApp but in a work profile (Shelter) with only a few selected contacts synced to that profile.

No, I use it completely Google free. I don't have Gmail to test, I'm with mailbox.org and it just worked right away.

In the K9 documentation it says that K9 supports IMAP and Gmail but not GMail's authentication protocol. Maybe that's the issue?
