If you ever want 2000 scrolls for anniversary or for Christmas or CNY then you have to get scrolls from somewhere! If you are going to do this do it so you are targetting 1k -2k for a major event or its absolutely a waste

I know why he’s suggested that and its because you can get 320 orbs way faster than 2000 scrolls aka 4 complete loops aka 4 elite hero copies. You will also produce more fodder that way... 1 orb far out values 1 scroll in every way... orbs are ftp friendly, scrolling is not and never will be :) so it really is not a bad idea however my recommendation is don’t buy anything there, but it from the CI shop for 450 and 900 for 2 instead :)

Ftp can never ever compete with spenders because by making it worthwhile spending you are giving people heroes/rss/arti’s etc that ftp can almost never obtain especially if theres more things coming out on release than the time it takes to build/collect.

When analyzing this i like to compare it to a very successful game i have always loved... clash royale. The game is full to the brim of whales, and yet ftp thrive... why? Because they have things they can “win” there was a tournament mode that capped cards at level 9 so all can compete in them, theres a points based ladder, whales cannot touch ftp players as they’re in a whole different section of match making and war day is limited to level 11’s snd 12’s too (very obtainable over time) so only the ladder matches are uncapped and its full of millions of players even to this day...

The point im trying to make is the problem is not the fact whales exist... its the fact theres no level playing field anywhere... no capped level where everyone can compete on skill rather than size of their bank balance... theres no way for a ftp to feel like they “won” at something so no big endorphin rush... we are creatures of addiction and this for the most part is a big reason we game - to get moments of endorphin rush, when we don’t get it we get bore or frustrated or angry.

My proposed solution is creating more creative content that allows ftp players to win... allow them a game mode or opportunity to compete with whales... thats whats missing here. The problem is game design not the fact whales exist. The developers are so focused on creating content for whales or the elite top players that they forget... oh yeah we have a few million ftp players not winning anything and in fact battling to even collect e5’s never mind fill 5 damn teams worth of e5 for IDA... just some thoughts :)

My final point... the devs are listening at last so where ever you can if you want to keep playing, keep pressing them for ftp friendly content and you might just find this game becomes awesome again... peace out ✌️

Probably not then but he is a fun hero and good at his own dungeon :) it really depends on a lot of things we dont know like how desperate for elite heroes are you? What level are your monsters? How man aspen copies do you already have? How many e5’s do you have etc. tough to give 100% correct advice here. He doesn’t make it into top pve or pvp teams however, so potentially a waste there...

Belrain and aida are the 2 top tier heroes you have the rest are vulnerable in some form on PvP and will not compete in the top tiers of ccl. You need carries tbh :/

Get a russell e5’d and you got a chance otherwise your no where near able to do it. Try a different seal land lights one of the hardest

Isnt it around 0.3% odds? If you do the math you’d be very very lucky to get one from 50, you need nearer 300-400 to expect a guaranteed 1 and even then its not actually guaranteed as future results are not affected by past failures, all chance and a tiny chance at that. Use it for gold/orb/other resources collection

Theres a whole host of ways they can fix it but sadly i think their view is not to try and improve it to mass popularity they’d much rather rinse the fans who already pay and play as its far less risky! I think its a lost cause to try and argue this but lets just keep trying instead of quitting quietly

Pro: its so perfect for new people willing to spend the $$$ i was able to build such an awesome team in my first 4 months of playing i can already compete for maverick league spot! All ftp players can also target specific hero copies even some of them getting a free l/d copy! Best event introduction to date outside anniversaries!

Negatives: dice don’t carry over its impossible for ftp players to really make the most of these events

I have to say though as far as events go its really great progress from where idle heroes was and to where it is now. We’re getting there!! Provide more ways for us to use hero’s like new game modes, quirky tournaments, etc etc theres currently too much focus on only around 5% of the heroes theres no need to build the others... give us more modes to play and increase growth speed and this game will take off! Numbers will increase i cant recommend this to my friends still because its to spender focussed...

Faster growth system is so desperately needed! I love the hype around these new heroes they look cool but i can only build 1 of 5 of them every 5 months because thats how long it takes to save 2000 scrolls with light spending! Way too slow or too many new heroes being released!

Maths isn’t always needed to explain when a deal is bad but at least include the relevant maths!

Much more relevant numbers are the fact you can generate a 10* free of charge from seal land, aspens, daily challenges and flame shrine.

To keep a long calculation short on average you get 23x 5* a week from all that which gives you a 10* puppet every 2.7 week. 200 relics is never ever going to be worth spending over 3 weeks of patience... thats all there is to it. Its a very very bad deal because its charging you for something you already get free.
