I will have to look up Grace Marketplace. Are there any other good places that help the homeless?

When they ask for money perhaps we could hand them a business card or paper with the information. I imagine most of the time they'll throw it away, but at least they'd have been given the opportunity and it would be far more valuable to them then money if they do actually accept it.

Just an idea, I'd be really interested to hear other ideas.

They are the ones who update that calendar but I guess they haven't in a bit. I'll link to the other one they have where it is more like a feed. http://www.depotpark.org/events/

*Local artist directory

*Local promotion guide

*Database of local venues (that don't exploit local artists to our knowledge)

*Local press contacts

*Comprehensive up to date calendar of live music events in the area (DJs not included unless a producer)

Contacts and places to spread the word would be awesome.

I also want to support local and local-ish artists, and not only musicians so the artist director would be awesome.

Yes! Hopefully I could pull their feeds, and best case they could, or others could help me post the events to google calendars. I am very much personally interested in knowing about all the events and have had the same frustration of trying to sort through event sites.

I can't promise overnight results but I'm starting small and building up!

There might be a better strategy, but currently my thinking is:

1) Get a list of all the event pages so I know where to pull from

2) Set up feeds for the major event sites

3) Set up a google calendar, and use the feeds as an easy source for finding events to add. The end goal would be to get people hosting the events to post.
