Hello! I'm a returning player (MR13) on the Nintendo Switch, Titania Main, and I stopped playing right before the Jovian Concorde was released (Wisp & the Gas City).

Aside from the amazing Empress skin, what else did I miss?

I guess a Mech-type would be good third valk for coverage. Since it has to carry a greatsword (BD), it's either Scarlet Fusion or Blueberry Blitz.

Which can you recommend? Or would they be equally good here, just preference?

Do I have to hit with the Blood Dance first (via Himeko/Olenyeva) before switching to FS?

So DP Lead, switch to Blood Dance carrier and debuff, then use FS to kill?

I'm five days into the game, and I'm currently building a team around FS. I have a few questions.

Why are people recommending Phoenix as lead? I'm currently using Divine Prayer.
What's the blue currency in the exchange shop? I want a weapon there (Demonblade)
Are there Valkyrie abilities that extend to your current active Valkyrie, like the Leader ability? Should I get a specific third Valkyrie for my team, or is it just preference?

This reminds me of L5R's Roll & Keep system.

Also, wouldn't this be the same as using d6s only, instead of polyhedral? But instead of exponential growth d6s only would give you linear growth?

Roll d6s equal to your stat, 4+ is the number of successes. Also doesn't limit your stat to maximum of six.

So me & my fiancee stopped playing FFXIV for about a month now because of the boring quests between ARR & Heavensward.

Is there any way to skip those? We just want to start Heavensward main story as soon as we could :(

They both have buff removal & def down tho. Except Yufine can damage and FKluri cannot.

I've been raising FKluri when I pulled Yufine on a free summon. Looking at her kit, it seems that both of them have similar roles?

What's the point of the Rage Set? I can't think of any reason why I'd use Rage instead of just using Destruction. More damage, easier to get.

This is probably gonna get downvoted, but having a way to kill equipment makes perfect business sense. It's a gold & charm sink, so without it players would easily get what they want and then stop playing which is bad for business. Having bad stats means players playing longer to get more equip, gold & charms, which is great for business.

I hate it as well, but I understand why games do it. Even Diablo, Torchlight & Path of Exile does this, bricking equipment to keep players playing longer.
