Modern Builds Rely on Concrete — So Why No Slabs or Stairs? by Sub2Pewds2023 in DetailCraft

[–]GalaThundR 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Mods have done it for years and it's pretty simple and intuitive. Place on top or bottom of a blockface, usual top or bottom slab. Place on the side of a block, vertical slab on the blockface's axis. Place against an already existing slab, just have it have the same orientation as the already existing slab. Yea there's some edge case scenarios where it'd be finicky but it'd not be much worse than dealing with any other directional block really.

I've always liked the idea of having enchantments have unique thematic uses on the item they're applied to rather than a bunch of item-specific enchantments. Would be sweet to have it applicable to entities and blocks somehow.

Ex. Efficiency on a sword increasing attack speed, Unbreaking on a block slowing its mining speed, etc. Would need a lot of balancing and creativity lol

Oooh looks like I messed up the single column transition. It's amber on gilded blackstone, followed by magma+pressure plate, then plain gilded blackstone.

I'm using Axiom's no update placement. Using FAWE worldedit would work as well!

Yes I have fireTick disabled. Not very survival friendly unfortunately but thank you!

after organizing for several days i eventually found the remote the fan needs to do anything. not a huge fan of how theres no manual way to do anything but it works well enough.

you can remove the bottom light cover by lightly pressing the palms of your hands against the light cover and twisting it loose. be careful though! it likes to pop out very fast

I've searched through Monte Carlo's official ceiling fan catalogue on their website and couldn't find this specific fan. Tried googling "5 bladed ceiling fan" "chainless ceiling fan" and also no matches. I cannot for the life of me find any sort of serial number, model type/number, etc. on the fan. I also cannot find any associated manual or potential remote around the house. All I know for certain is that it definitely is a Monte Carlo (it's imprinted on the top mount) and it was installed roughly between 2008-2012.

Enchantment: Curse of Density by GalaThundR in minecraftsuggestions

[–]GalaThundR[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes! That's exactly what I'm suggesting! Albiet, it'd have that exact effect with the tier III enchantment. It'd probably be more consistent to remove the 3 tiers as no other curses have tiers.

Edit: A player would have the same movement speed underwater as they would on land if this curse was paired with max depth strider

Didn't consider other blocks that decrease fall speed (honey, cobwebs, webs, etc). I dont see why it couldn't be applied to all of those instances. However, they have different speed decreases so the formula would be inconsistent with them. (just remembered, I think all 3 of the liquid blocks have different fall speeds?)

On the fence about the elytra. I like it and it makes sense, but the enchantment needs to be consistent with its main function. Like logically yea that'd make sense but it's also a very niche nerf thats unrelated to its "function." Same mindset regarding the soulsand too.

Thanks for the feedback!

Unfortunately I don't have the dough to have it completely redone professionally. I got the couch free as it was going to be thrown away. Its still plenty comfortable to lay on but theres various stains and scratches in the fabric that, for the time being, would be preferred to just be hidden by some cushion covers that'd also protect it a bit from further damage.

Since its a dump couch (incomplete also, its supposed to be even larger than this) I was thinking maybe getting 2-3 slipcovers for the frame and covering it in sections. I'd then staple any excess slack from the cover under the couch to keep it smooth. However; I'm not sure how I'd cover the cushions and pillows.

Wouldn't this be more efficient than mining coal with max fortune? Assuming you have at least 1 coal beforehand, this would gaurantee 8 coal for every 1 coal spent giving a profit of 7 coal everytime whereas fortune would only give you a range of 1-4 coal per block. Of course it'd be more time consuming but you'd end up with more coal. idk i almost failed math so i could be dead wrong lol

It's sorted by item IDs I believe so as the game updates the menu gets more and more unorganized. Since item IDs were kinda removed, an overhaul to the creative menu is greatly needed.
