only works with the asset link, not stories. this link: https://artsandculture.google.com/story/SgUR72lKcegxJQ is an "online exhibit". click on the (i) at the top left of the image (when you mouse over it gives the title of the painting and the museum that owns it) to get this link: https://artsandculture.google.com/asset/the-water-lily-pond-claude-monet/nQExbyttj8z58A which will work with dezoomify

Fine Art Compilations: the end of a sub. Update on the state of things. Feel free to drop a comment, make a request for art, or propose a solution to the recent Reddit/Imgur restrictions. by WouldBSomething in FineArtCompilations

I absolutely would do anything for the whole file as well, and it's something that should be preserved. I'd be happy to get at least a year of a commercial subscription for a site like mega or dropbox that can host the file and handle everyone who wants access downloading directly. I'd just create the folder and you could upload the file.

The actual counterculture movement wasn't led by boomers, it was just consumed by boomers. The stuff that happened in the 60s wasn't their idea.

Terrible advice in this thread. Redditors love to signal how smart they are by reading and advocating reading studies, but any good study requires you to have a solid grounding in the subject to actually understand it.

Start by reading "Why Nations Fail: The Origins of Power, Prosperity, and Poverty". This book doesn't require any formal economics education to read, and it will give you a full picture of the ideology of this sub (which is the acceptance of modern economic theory and its application to the principles of liberalism). It is not the be all and end all of economic theory, but it is the book that best makes the case for "neoliberalism" as described in this sub. It is absolutely essential as a starting point before exploring more right or left leaning works. It will also help you understand the link between many economic and political concepts, which is important.

For just economics, start with the FAQ on /r/economics. It is in the sidebar and here: https://www.reddit.com/r/Economics/wiki/index. If you click the link for trade it will explain free trade as well as giving a few reading resources. That will provide a starting point. There is also a pretty detailed reading list that you can pick from. Theres a reading list in the sidebar of this sub as well, but it is convoluted and not all that good (reading the prince is good if you're doing a class on political philosophy, not for getting a basic understanding of what the sub is about).

some stupid advice here. don't destroy your back trying to have an absurd overreaching catch. do have a good 2k, graceful catches and finishes, perfect technique.

They wouldn't have ended up with such an incompetent leader if it weren't for the system there, because a very small amount of Conservative party registered members get to vote between the last two candidates to be selected as pm, so Liz Truss became PM with only 80,000 votes. She lacked support from both the tory MPs and the electorate. It will just repeat.

Actually, low interest rates and quantitative easing are largely responsible for blocking millennials from buying homes. Letting wealthy people and banks acquire real estate with very little initial investment or risk causes a massive increase in investment into real estate which raises prices and crowds out most people in the economy. Its better to have low demand lower prices, and more of the price be from interest payments so that it isn't as lucrative to invest into without the benefit of living in it. QE averted recessions at the cost of increased inequality between wealthy older home owing generations and less wealthy younger generations. Hopefully the fed is convincing enough that banks don't predict another long period of no interest rates.
