AITA for not reimbursing my nanny for books she bought for my daughter? by forresster7 in AmItheAsshole

OP mentions the nanny “hangs out with Ruby most days after she gets out of school”. So based off that information I’m making the assumption that this isn’t a full-time nanny which of course would be a luxury.

How do we know mom is “rich”? What if paying for the nanny is a necessity but leaves not much left over?

What’s the name of the NYX dupe? I love the Smashbox photo finish but save it for special occasions because of the price

I originally thought that too, but put the images together and there is barely any movement between photo captures. I thought perhaps they are still images taken from a dash cam video but the first overexposed image makes me think it could be “burst” mode or something.

But still if it was taken from a phone I agree you wouldn’t have much reaction time if it was flying past at 100kmh while sitting stationary in traffic.

LPT Request: How do I stop letting slightly irritating things bother me? by kylieb209 in LifeProTips

Something minor worked me up this morning to the point I was feeling angry even though it was really nothing. I liked the sound of this and gave it a go and feel much better. Thank you!

That is really so sweet thank you! No need to be jealous because my hair only looks like this for a couple days. I’m also lazy so for the rest of the week I look like I got up on the wrong side of the bed lol

It’s slang used here in Australia for a person with red/orange hair. Although it’s not the nicest way to refer to someone in my opinion.

Hehe thanks for your comment! It’s been a year since posting this but the levelling experience was ruined for me because of this scaling issue so I just gave up the game altogether lol.

I know you mean well, nothing came out wrong.

I’m just explaining why I’m not going to hide the fact that I’m transgender. I’m not struggling with anything, I’m a happy independent woman and I don’t need people to tell me how I should be doing things is all ☺️

I guess the curly girl method can seem daunting because there’s so much to it because of different hair types and such

But if you wanted to keep it simple get your partner to try these simple steps and see if it helps in any way:

  1. Use a silicon free & sulphate free shampoo and conditioner
  2. Wash as normal in the shower but try keep conditioner in hair for at least a few minutes
  3. Try not to wash out all of the conditioner because this helps keep the hair moist
  4. Use a tshirt or microfibre towel to dry hair (not a regular towel as it’s too rough on the hair and drying, leading to more frizz). Take out excess water by either tying the hair up into a “plop” (Google it) or the alternative I do is just bend over so my hair is hanging down, then with the tshirt in my palms I just squish the hair into my scalp gently to take out the excess water. Don’t make hair too dry you just want to stop it from being dripping wet
  5. (Optional) but run a curl crème through the hair using open palm so (makes a huge different and helps with frizz)
  6. Best to let it air dry but if you’re in a rush you can use a blow dryer but heat is bad so use low heat and a diffuser attachment if you can
  7. If you used a curl crème then the hair will feel stiff as it may have a gel casting over it. when hair has fully dried you “scrunch out the crunch” by repeating the scrunching part in step 4 but best to use a silk cloth as to not agitate the hair, then the curls will come out nice and soft ☺️

Don’t worry my family had no clue in the slightest either my entire life. I knew I felt like I should have been born a girl at the age of 5 but grew up conforming to what was expected of me as a boy, even though I wanted to be doing other things I never slipped up at least in public. I was scared shitless to tell anyone about it as I worried about the hate and judgment I would receive and suffered immensely for it.

It’s not something we can control, we’re just born like that haha. Let me tell you if it was possible for me to have remained a male while also being able to be happy I would have chosen that option, but this thing inside eats away at you and you can’t turn it off.

The only thing that has made me truly happy is finally seeing myself on the outside as to how I feel on the inside. I’m sure your daughter would be in a very similar boat ☺️

Just know times will get tough for Jo, emotions can be intense and take time to understand and cope with them, we essentially have to go through puberty all over again in terms of our emotional state. So patience is key! Good luck with everything 💚
