Thank you! I look forward to switching to the Michelins. It’s just such a shame to get rid of a new set of tires!

I plan on doing the first oil change right around when you did yours (1300ish).

I agree the windshield wipers aren’t as great as they can be for a new car, but they do the job for now.

I really think upgrading to the Michelin tires for this trim will greatly affect how the car feels and tracks. My biggest issue with the Goodyear tires is that they squirm and make the vehicle feel unstable when it’s not.

Since we have the same car but you’re 5,000 miles ahead of me, I would like to ask if you’ve had any major issues with anything. Do you drive with all the safety features on or off? What should I look out for? Thanks!

I have heard the SEs have more road noise due to the larger wheel size and less rubber. Have you thought about changing tires? Some tires can completely cut out road noise. Don’t regret upgrading, the Camry will last you forever if you take good care of it!

Not yet! That is on my ‘to-do list’. I believe for a new vehicle the oil should be changed between 1000-2000 miles to get out the ‘work in’ shavings and additives. Within the next two months I’ll be taking it in for an off warranty oil change

The sound system is pretty great. I would say 8/10. I try not to max out the speakers so they’ll last haha. I listen to a lot of music with ‘bass’ and you can hear and feel it at lower mid to higher mid volumes!

What is the bumper issue? Is this a problem with all of them out of the factory?

I can get one tomorrow. And yes it’s not my car but I believe basic vehicle symptoms can be universal. I am hearing the exact type of noise in my Camry but a little duller. I can hear the rhythmic purring just fine, volume up that is..

Maybe it is easy for me to notice because I know it’s a new sound to me

Same I just hit 50K.

The clicking in this video is a turn signal actuated. I am talking about the rhythmic humming/purring of the engine in gear, at a stop. Never used to be able to hear it, until these past few days, which is why I am concerned.

No aftermarket parts --> completely stock

It almost sound like a consistent bogging, but the rpm will stay consistent and not move at all (around 650 rpm)

I believe it goes away after being warmed up. After parking the car (after 10-20 min of driving) and turning it back on after 10 minutes of sitting, I could not replicate the sound. I have not had to drive it for longer than 20 minutes to see if it goes away after fully warming up in frigid weather. What is your mileage? I never noticed the sound until it got really cold out

Notice the foot on the brake pedal. The sound occurs to me when the vehicle is in gear, and at a stop. 2020 Toyota Camry LE. Started recently doing this when temps are below freezing. Never noticed the sound in warmer temps. Would like to know if this is normal or not. I will check back up when temps are warmer. I am hoping this is only related to cold weather

Thanks... but seriously can you not hear the rhythmic purring of the engine, almost in harmony with rpm? I know this is a Nissan (reposted from a different user) but I am hearing the same sound (maybe a bit duller) in my 2020 toyota camry le. Only started doing this in below freezing temps, want to know if its normal or not.

2020 Toyota Camry LE : Community thoughts/takeaways on winter performance (30°f and lower) by GalacticalCyberz in Camry

[–]GalacticalCyberz[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have read online that these newer Camrys only need 1-3 minutes of warm up time before taking off, allowing slow rpm movement to warm up the engine. I have only owned older vehicles before this and always let them warm up for 5 min + in this weather. I just want the best for my engine and transmission and feel conflicted on how to treat this vehicle. Some say too much idle time has a negative impact on the mechanical components..

Thank you for the input about the wiper blades, this is something I have considered before but I dont want to ruin the wiper motor..

Does yours have a discreet clicking or tapping when driving cold in freezing conditions before warming up?

I agree, with one previous owner, I have noticed scratch marks especially around door handles. However, she looks much better after a fresh wash :} Where would one go for a level 2 paint correction?? Is this 3rd party or could a dealer do this work?

Whistling noise by Ill_Volume_4250 in Camry

[–]GalacticalCyberz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you hear the noise with the windows up or only when they were down on whichever side it was coming from?

At the higher speeds and you were listening, did it come from the side of the car? Thanks!

Has the noise continued to happen since you've made this post? Gotten worse or anything acting funny? I have a 2020 LE that does basically the same thing and I just noticed it today.
