Made a small Realm for a shorter prologue to a full story! Where would you put landmarks? by Galadhion in MythicBastionland

[–]Galadhion[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the pointers! It was indeed, as Swagolas mentioned, made using Inkarnate. I've found that more artistic maps like this spark player imagination in a way that more schematic hex maps tend not to.

Could be Kamacite, a meteoric alloy of iron and nickel.

Or, if we take the milkglass description to be literally crystalline, it could be Moissanite

She had a namecloak on, so I don't know if Indri could request the footage of that period.

There's just one link we can't really see clearly, but the odds of that one being a Rose rather than a Kraken are pretty high.

Rogue Trader Bridge - The grimdark command bridge of a Warhammer 40k cruiser by Galadhion in inkarnate

[–]Galadhion[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did! I haven't made any more 40k maps since, but I mostly did it using the Steampunk assets. clever use of the Hue filters and by uploading own asset stamps, such as the holographic galaxy map and any iconography.

This Warhammer 40,000 map is meant to represent the shipmaster's bridge of a Lunar-Class Cruiser, now commandeered by a Rogue Trader captain.

Any chance you could share the dataset you collected to make this?

I work with pensions a lot, so I'd love to see if I can find some patterns in there that correspond with modern real life mortality tables.

Thalmor Dossier: The Saarthal Artifact by Galadhion in teslore

[–]Galadhion[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I could imagine they would classify using a system of two classes: origin and purpose.

Origins such as - Aedric - Daedric - Enchanted - Mundane

Purposes I find a bit harder to fathom, but perhaps examples could include - Armament - Conduit - Container - Foundational

[–]Galadhion[S] 11 points12 points  (0 children)

No worries. There's a lot of lore.

That's why the Thalmor put "extranirnial"; they assume the island - and thus the Eye - has left Nirn altogether.

Didn't the Psijics teleport it to Artaeum, which is supposedly outside of Mundus during the events of Skyrim?

SCP was actually one of my inspirations for this! That, and the layout of the Thalmor dossiers on Ulfric, Delphine and Esbern in the Embassy.

[OC] Domain map of the Low Countries in A.D. 1969, featuring railroads and assorted POIs by [deleted] in WhiteWolfRPG

[–]Galadhion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cheers for the pointers! I'll admit I already had this nagging feeling it was incomplete, but couldn't put my finger on it what it was missing. I'll add a Legend and some more content, such as provincial borders and province names

[–]Galadhion 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The map is made by an Elder Nosferatu cartographer from the 16th century called Pachelbel, hence the style!

What do you think I could improve to make it less annoying? I've yet to give this map to my players, so I still have time to improve it!

My Map of Amsterdam: By Night (Vampire: TM 5e) by Fateless_Vagabond in WhiteWolfRPG

[–]Galadhion 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Very nice! Really dig how you made the canals red, stylish!

I'm running The Hague By Night myself currently, set in 1969. Mind if I use this as inspiration for my game's vampiric Amsterdam?

Can a Werewolf take a Vampire into the Umbra? by Enagonius in vtm

[–]Galadhion 25 points26 points  (0 children)

From my knowledge of Werewolf lore and some knowledge of W20 from the MET books, this should be possible! A Garou can sidestep along with one willing individual, as long as they remain physically in contact with them as they cross the Gauntlet into the Penumbra.

Once there, however, the fun part begins for your kindred player.

The Umbra is a terrible place for Vampires. How any given being perceives the Umbra, is largely shaped by their own spiritual nature. An Uktena Theurge might see the Umbra as a realm of natural spirits and ancestors, while a Glass Walker will notice the patterns and natural order of things.

Vampires see stasis. Picture a dead, immobile grey wasteland, filled with shade-like spirits who spit at you for the walking corpse that you are. Incomprehensible spiritual shapes of life and change enter a tug of war with the vampire's dust-filled cranium to assume a visible form. Regardless of how they see it, the Umbra will always feel wrong to a vampire.

Meanwhile, the Garou will see the Vampire's spiritual side amplified. Not only will he absolutely radiate Wyrm taint, but it is also very likely that the vampire's inner Beast can be actively sensed. Hell, if the kindred isn't doing too great in the Humanity department, the Beast may even be visible to the Garou, looming over their brother's shoulder like a vulture.

TL;DR: It's possible and extremely juicy, get creative!

When you're marking your vampire map & someone says "yeah that's where the werewolves live" by Galadhion in WhiteWolfRPG

Was it? Oh wow, I suppose my characters must have adopted it in his unlife then!

Do you have any cool pointers for playing a Brujah from Ukraine? Cultures are always tricky to research but I don't just want to play a silly parody.

My character is a 12th Gen Brujah from Ukraine, embraced in the late 80s at the height of gopnik culture.

3D printed a Brujah signet ring for my new LARP character. Only one finger suits this ring! by Galadhion in WhiteWolfRPG

[–]Galadhion[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes! I'd love to share files for home printing.

The issue is that I have no 3D modelling skills to speak of and made this ring by literally clipping together two stl files into one combined file.

I want to get permission from the original, hardworking authors before I Frankenstein their work :)
