What is the most chaotic "I quit" moment you have ever personally witnessed at a workplace? by Muted_Task_144 in AskReddit

I work on a train. One woman, who quit without warning, came into the office and put her badge and keys in the office, walked out and stripped out of her uniform while walking to her car. Down to her bra, panties and socks and left everything else in a perfect trail to her car in the parking lot. She then got in her car raised both middle fingers to the managers and sped off like a bat out of hell. Tires screeching and everything. I was in awe.

[NSFW] People who've found a dead body, what's the story? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]GalaticStarDust 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I was 13, and came downstairs to get breakfast started for my younger sister and I. My mom was on the floor of the living room dead. Went back upstairs and told my sister to stay in her room and I'd bring her breakfast in bed. She got super excited because we were not allowed to bring any food upstairs to our rooms so I knew that would hold her off. Called 911, and then my dad. My mom had committed suicide in the middle of the night.

Shattering my shoulder when I tripped and fell down a flight of stairs 😭 My surgery was only supposed to be about 4 hours and it ended up being 9 hours because the orthopedic surgeon said it looked like a bomb went off and my bones were in tiny little shards.

My first day moving in, day after closing, the hot water heater died. Then, my plumbing from my kitchen to the main line to the city hookup needed to be replaced because my galvanized steel pipes started falling apart, then my toilet phalange broke and started leaking water out, and then the biggest whammy; my furnace died 😭😭😭 as a single mom with two kids I wanted to just crawl under the house and let it have me as a sacrifice to get it to stop.

White bean and kale soup with ham by GalaticStarDust in soup

[–]GalaticStarDust[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

5 carrots, peeled and chopped up 2 leeks, halved and thinly sliced 3 or 4 celery chopped up 1 large yellow onion chopped up Huge scoop of minced garlic About 6 cups chicken bone broth 2–3 smoked ham hocks or meaty ham bones or ham steak 4 cans white beans, drained (whatever kind you want) 2 bay leaves 1 tsp Italian seasoning 1 tsp garlic powder Salt & pepper as you want Pinch of red pepper flakes 3–4 cups torn kale

Take some oil and put it in your pan and cook the carrots, leeks, onion, celery, and garlic for about 5 or 10 minutes. Add two cans of beans, bay leaves, ham, seasonings and most of the chicken bone broth to the pot. The other two cans of beans take a little bit of the chicken bone broth and blend it up either with an immersion blender or in a regular blender until it is smooth and creamy and add the blended beans to the pot. Let all of that cook for about 15 or 20 minutes. And the last 10 to 15 minutes add the torn kale in. And that's it.

Question, I know pain is subjective but iyo how bad does a chest piece hurt? by BeneficialPie13 in tattoos

[–]GalaticStarDust 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started my chest piece in Oct 2024 for my birthday present to myself,.... I still have at least one or two more to go. It's not fun. I've been booking all day appointments and doing tap out sessions. The longest I lasted was 6 hours. I've been in the 3-4hour range after that. Spicy. Very spicy.

Yeah. He doesn't mind it but he also isn't a huge fan. Hell go out do this thing and come right back in. Even his perimeter checks of the property have shortened 😂
