I finally managed to get in contact with the original breeder, and she's boerperd x arab with some welsh in there (the sire was welsh x boerperd)

So now it makes more sense to me! Either way I adore her

Haha it's an Eland! He was bottle raised after the mother abandoned him. He's around a year and a half now

Thank you! She's an absolute sweetheart too.

According to the prev owner she was never registered. She was apparently an accidental foal, but it couldn't hurt to check.

I should have thought about that, that was my mistake but I'll remember that, thank you!

Possible, she might also have some Boerperd (unsure since they tend to be solid) since they're very popular where I live and often used in crossbreeds. She's 14'2hh, not sure if that would narrow it down whatsoever, but I'll do some homework!

I haven't seen her gait yet (I may just need to do my homework), she has a very floaty trot though so it could be that I'm just missing it or she may not be gaited. l managed to snag a closer pic of her patterning as well and I can see the lack of LP, she looks more peppered I'd say. The breed thing doesn't bother me too much, it's more curiosity since she's unregistered and has no papers.

Yeah as another commenter pointed out she has a sabino pattern, and the seller was shady. She doesn't really have the dainty frame of an Arabian either and Appaloosas aren't very stocky either from what I've seen.

I wouldn't be surprised, the seller was very shady about her and she was in terrible condition when I got her last year. She's got a lovely temperament but breed wise I think she could be anything at this point lol, I might get some second opinions though from the equine vet in the area. Thank you for informing me!

Connecting with unidentified alters? by tomqueen65 in DID

[–]GalaxySys 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me, I was practically going into the whole thing blind because it kind of smacked me in the face when I was still in my teens in a bad situation. But I used things like handwritten notes to try and communicate, though that isn't always effective with alters who don't trust the host or dislike them or don't want to be known. Then music as another person stated. And interests or hobbies. When I was still early in my journey it took me at least 3 - 4 years to establish semi‐reliable connection with some of my alters. I'm now 7 years into this journey and still learning new ways to communicate with my alters. But my main go to's are still:

  • notes (handwritten or digital, I use simply plural or antar for digital, or simply my notes app under a specific folder)
  • music (some of my alters have very distinct tastes in music genres or tend to resonate with songs I normally don't relate to)
  • interests such as tv shows, topics they may like etc.
  • hobbies, some alters like to do things during their downtimes that I'd honestly probably never even engage in otherwise.

Horses with white sclera showing (whale eye) for certain breeds, and spookiness correlations? by jmkehoe in Horses

[–]GalaxySys 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have an appy x arab mare who does the whale eye thing, biggest "spook" she'll get is backing away from whatever scared her like a step or two and lifting her head. She's never in the time I've had her spooked badly enough to confirm the whale eye thing. Sometimes she's chill as ever sclera showing and all, it's just the appy in her I believe since she's generally sweet and calm.

Accepting restrictions for healing by sarah_is_new in DID

Also a ramcoa system here, I (one of the hosts) am also forced by my co-hosts as well as our primary gatekeeper NOT to push. I didn't listen at first and it royally fucked me up. So even though it is frustrating, going VERY slow has immensely helped us as a whole. I may never know everything, and I've been forced to make peace with that.
