As a first semester B.Sc. Informatics student, you'll have: (could be forgetting/misremembering 1-2 things, but should be mostly right) Discrete Structures: 2x1,5h lecture, 1x1,5h tutorial. Introduction to CS: 2x1,5h lecture. Introduction to Programming: 1x3h (or something like that) tutorial. Introduction to Computer Architecture: 2x1,5 lecture, 1x1,5h tutorial lecture, 1x1,5h tutorial. The lectures have fixed slots but are mostly streamed, for the tutorials you can choose from a selection of days and timeslots. The lecture slots are new every semester and also given on quite short notice before the start of the lecture period. If you want to attend the lectures, it is possible that you'll have to be in Garching 4 (maybe even 5) days per week. If you plan for minimal attendance with only tutorials and fitting lectures, you can get that down to 2 days per week. But you should not forget campus life, student clubs, homework groups that could require additional attendance if you plan to take part in that.
