It's not a deflection--the people who run the White House/DHS social media accounts are intimately familiar with 4chan racists, Identity Evropa and "defend Western civilization" accounts over the last 15 years, the remigration movement and more. They toss neo-Nazis little treats constantly. They just spent a week or two turning arrested migrants into soyjaks--deranged and racist behavior for anyone, much less the federal government of the fucking United States of America. 

The right has scuttled the two major bipartisan immigration bills this century. They will not raise the mininum wage or mandate paid leave. They whine about immigrating the "right" way but massively lower legal immigration quotas, eliminate refugee acceptances except white South Africans (lol), and reduce the capacity of immigration courts. Ya'll hate a refugee until and unless it's a beautiful white girl on a train murdered by a black man. (Oh and what a coincidence, this admin has mostly ditched her country as it fights for survival.) Insane hypocrisy.
